On 17 Jul 1726 William Cadogan 1st Earl Cadogan (age 54) died without male issue. Earl Cadogan extinct. His brother Charles Cadogan 2nd Baron Cadogan (age 41) succeeded 2nd Baron Cadogan. Elizabeth Sloane Baroness Cadogan (age 31) by marriage Baroness Cadogan.

The King has also been pleased to grant the Dignities of Viscount and Earl of the Kingdom of Great Britain to the Right Honorable James Lord Malmesbury (age 54), Baron of Malmesbury, in the County of Wilts, Knight of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, and the Heirs Male of his Body lawfully begotten, by the Name, Style, and Title of Viscount Fitz-Harris, of Hurn Court, in the County of Southampton, and Earl of Malmesbury. On 03 Apr 1807 Charles Sloane Cadogan 1st Earl Cadogan (age 78) died. His son Charles Henry Sloane 2nd Earl Cadogan (age 57) succeeded 2nd Earl Cadogan, 2nd Viscount Chelsea. He was by then a lunatic.
On 23 Dec 1832 Charles Henry Sloane 2nd Earl Cadogan (age 83) died unmarried in Enfield [Map]. His half brother George Cadogan 3rd Earl Cadogan (age 49) succeeded 3rd Earl Cadogan, 3rd Viscount Chelsea.
On 15 Sep 1864 George Cadogan 3rd Earl Cadogan (age 81) died. His son Henry Cadogan 4th Earl Cadogan (age 52) succeeded 4th Earl Cadogan, 4th Viscount Chelsea. Mary Sarah Wellesley Countess Cadogan (age 55) by marriage Countess Cadogan.
On 08 Jun 1873 Henry Cadogan 4th Earl Cadogan (age 61) died at Woodrising, Norfolk. His son George Cadogan 5th Earl Cadogan (age 33) succeeded 5th Earl Cadogan, 5th Viscount Chelsea. Beatrix Jane Craven Countess Cadogan (age 28) by marriage Countess Cadogan.
On 06 Mar 1915 George Cadogan 5th Earl Cadogan (age 74) died. His son Gerald Oakley Cadogan 6th Earl Cadogan (age 45) succeeded 6th Earl Cadogan, 6th Viscount Chelsea.
On 04 Oct 1933 Gerald Oakley Cadogan 6th Earl Cadogan (age 64) died. His son William Gerald Charles Cadogan 7th Earl Cadogan (age 19) succeeded 7th Earl Cadogan, 7th Viscount Chelsea.
