Margaret Price Lady Downing was born to Reverend Price of Barrington in Gloucestershire.
On 10 Jun 1749 George Downing 3rd Baronet (age 63) died without issue. His first cousin [her future husband] Jacob Garrard Downing 4th Baronet (age 32) succeeded 4th Baronet Downing of East Hatley in Cambridgeshire.
On 17 May 1750 Jacob Garrard Downing 4th Baronet (age 33) and Margaret Price Lady Downing were married. She by marriage Lady Downing of East Hatley in Cambridgeshire.
On 06 Feb 1764 [her husband] Jacob Garrard Downing 4th Baronet (age 47) died without issue at Hill Street, Berkeley Square. Baronet Downing of East Hatley in Cambridgeshire extinct. The will of George Downing 3rd Baronet stated the estate should be left to establish a Cambridge college in his name if Jacob Garrard Downing 4th Baronet (age 47) had no son. Jacob Garrard Downing 4th Baronet (age 47), however, left the estate to his widow Margaret Price Lady Downing leading to forty years of litigation.
On 05 Aug 1765 George John Cooke (age 29) and [her future sister-in-law] Penelope Bowyer of Harefield Park, London (age 19) were married at Harefield.
On 12 Jul 1767 William Bowyer 3rd Baronet (age 57) died. His son [her future brother-in-law] William Bowyer 4th Baronet (age 31) succeeded 4th Baronet Bowyer of Denham Court.
On 04 Jun 1768 [her future husband] George Bowyer 5th and 1st Baronet (age 28) and Henrietta Brett Lady Bowyer (age 15) were married.

On 06 Dec 1800 [her former husband] George Bowyer 5th and 1st Baronet (age 60) died at Radley Hall, Oxfordshire. His son George Bowyer 6th and 2nd Baronet (age 17) succeeded 6th Baronet Bowyer of Denham Court, 2nd Baronet Bowyer of Radley.
