Biography of Anne Gordon Countess Dumfries 1709-1755

Around 1705 [her father] William Gordon 2nd Earl Aberdeen (age 26) and [her mother] Mary Melville were married. He the son of George Gordon 1st Earl Aberdeen 1637-1720 (age 67).

In 1709 Anne Gordon Countess Dumfries was born to William Gordon 2nd Earl Aberdeen (age 30) and Mary Melville.

In 1710 [her mother] Mary Melville died in childbirth.

After 1710 [her father] William Gordon 2nd Earl Aberdeen (age 31) and [her step-mother] Susan Murray (age 10) were married. The difference in their ages was 20 years. She the daughter of John Murray 1st Duke Atholl (age 49) and Catherine Hamilton Duchess Atholl 1662-1707. He the son of George Gordon 1st Earl Aberdeen 1637-1720 (age 72).

On 20 Apr 1720 [her grandfather] George Gordon 1st Earl Aberdeen 1637-1720 (age 82) died. His son [her father] William Gordon 2nd Earl Aberdeen (age 41) succeeded 2nd Earl Aberdeen. [her step-mother] Anne Gordon Duchess Mantua by marriage Duchess Mantua.

After 22 Jun 1725 [her father] William Gordon 2nd Earl Aberdeen (age 46) and [her step-mother] Anne Gordon Duchess Mantua were married. She the daughter of Alexander Gordon 2nd Duke Gordon 1678-1728 (age 47) and Henrietta Mordaunt Duchess Gordon -1760. He the son of George Gordon 1st Earl Aberdeen 1637-1720.

On 02 Apr 1731 William Dalrymple Crichton 5th Earl Dumfries 4th Earl of Stair (age 32) and Anne Gordon Countess Dumfries (age 22) were married. She by marriage Countess Dumfries. She the daughter of William Gordon 2nd Earl Aberdeen (age 52) and Mary Melville. He the son of Colonel William Dalrymple Earl Dumfries (age 57) and .

On 12 Dec 1734 [her son] William Dalrymple Crichton was born to [her husband] William Dalrymple Crichton 5th Earl Dumfries 4th Earl of Stair (age 35) and Anne Gordon Countess Dumfries (age 25).

In 1742 [her mother-in-law]  died. Her son [her husband] William Dalrymple Crichton 5th Earl Dumfries 4th Earl of Stair (age 43) succeeded 5th Earl Dumfries.

On 09 Sep 1744 [her son] William Dalrymple Crichton (age 9) died.

On 30 Mar 1746 [her father] William Gordon 2nd Earl Aberdeen (age 67) died. His son [her half-brother] George Gordon 3rd Earl Aberdeen 1722-1801 (age 23) succeeded 3rd Earl Aberdeen. (age 16) by marriage Countess Aberdeen.

In 1755 Anne Gordon Countess Dumfries (age 46) died.
