In 1865 [her father] Schomberg Henry Kerr Kerr 9th Marquess Lothian 1833-1900 (age 31) and [her mother] Victoria Alexandrina Montagu-Douglas-Scott Marchioness Lothian 1844-1938 (age 20) were married. She the daughter of Walter Scott 5th Duke Buccleuch 7th Duke Queensberry and Charlotte Anne Thynne Duchess Buccleuch Duchess Queensbury 1811-1895 (age 53). He the son of John Kerr 7th Marquess Lothian 1794-1841 and Cecil Chetwynd-Talbot Marchioness Lothian 1808-1877 (age 56).
In 1870 [her uncle] William Schomberg Kerr 8th Marquess Lothian 1832-1870 (age 38) died without issue. His brother [her father] Schomberg Henry Kerr Kerr 9th Marquess Lothian 1833-1900 (age 36) succeeded 9th Marquess Lothian. [her mother] Victoria Alexandrina Montagu-Douglas-Scott Marchioness Lothian 1844-1938 (age 25) by marriage Marchioness Lothian. Monument at St Andrew's Church, Blickling [Map] sculpted by George Frederick Watts (age 52) in 1878.
On 17 Jan 1900 [her father] Schomberg Henry Kerr Kerr 9th Marquess Lothian 1833-1900 (age 66) died. His daughter Robert Schomberg Henry Kerr 10th Marchioness Lothian succeeded 10th Marchioness Lothian.
