Times Newspaper Court Circular. 03 Feb 1866.
Her Majesty (46) drove out yesterday morniug and afternoon. Mr. Engleheart arrived at Osborne House, Isle of Wight on Thursday, and had the honour of dining with Her Majesty (46) and the Royal family yesterday. The Queen (46) held a Council today, which was attended by Earl Russell (73), Earl de Grey and Ripon (38), antd Mr. Guschen.
Mr. Helps was Clerk of the Council.
Earl Cowley (61), Viscount Sydney (60), and Sir Charles Young (70), Garter, arrived from London this morning. Lord Cowley (61) was introduced by Lord Sydney (60), Lord Chamberlain (Sir Charles Young (70) attending with the insignia of the Order of the Garter), and Her Majesty (46) invested Lord Cowley (61) with the Riband and Badge of the Garter.
Earl Russell (73) and Earl de Grey (38) had audiences of Her Majesty (46).
NOTE. On 03 Feb 1866 Henry Richard Charles Wellesley 1st Earl Cowley 1804-1884 (61) was appointed 747th Knight Garter: Victoria.

10 Feb 1840. George Hayter 1792-1871 (47). Wedding of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Hayter included portraits of fifty-six of those present at the occasion and sittings took place over the next year. The Queen (20) sat for him in March in her 'Bridal dress, veil, wreath & all', and Prince Albert (20) also posed for his portrait several times during the following months. Hayter's family too helped out with his son, Henry, modelling the Prince's costume, while his daughter Mary posed for the Queen's arm and wearing the veil. Victoria's aunt Queen Adelaide (47), however, was unwilling to co-operate and the artist had to refer to a miniature for her likeness. Hayter included himself in the painting, on the lower right, with his sketchbook and pencil.

The artist has depicted the moment when the Prince (21) is about to place the ring on the Princess' (18) finger. The two little boys dressed in tartan are Prince Leopold (9) and Prince Arthur (12), Queen Victoria's youngest sons. At the top right of the painting the Queen (43) herself looks down on the ceremony.

Her Royal Highness. Princess Louise (Duchess of Fife) (37) and the Duke of Fife (55), were invited to luncheon vith Their Majesties The King (63) and Queen (60) to-day.
His Royal Highness Prince Charles of Denmark (32) left the Palace to-day to rejoin tho Danish Cruiser "Heindal," at Southampton, on his return to Denmark.
Mr. Victor Cavendish, M.P, Financial Scretary to the Treasury, Mr. F. P. Horner, Cormnissionor of Woods and Forests, and Lieut. Colonel R. F. Maunsell, R.A., Military Attache at Constantinople, had the honour-of being received by The King (63).

The funeral of Lord Henry Vane-Tempest took place yesterday in the family vault in St. Peter's Churchyard, Machynlleth, Montgomeryshire. The Bishop of Bangor (59), assisted by the Rev J. Williams, rector of the parish, and the Rev. S. J. Evans, officiated. The principal mourmers were the Marquis and Marchioness of Londonderry (brother and sister-in-law), Lord Herbert Vane-Tempest (42) (brother), and Mr. Beaumont (44), M.P., and Lady Aline Beaumont (41) (brother-in-law and sister). Continues.

We have to announce the death of Florence, Marchioness of Hastings (62), wife of Sir George Chetwynd, Bart., which took place on Sunday morning at Long Walk House, Windsor, after a few days' illness. The funeral will take place at Grendon, Atherstone, on Thursday next, at 2 o'clock.
NOTE. On 03 Feb 1907 Florence Cecilia Paget Marchioness Hastings 1842-1907 (64) died.

Their Majesties the King (65) and Queen (62), attended by the Countess of Gosford (51), the Hon. Charlotte Knollys (72), Captain the Hon. Seymour Fortescue, R.N (50), and Major F. Ponsonby, left the Palace this morning for the British Embassy, Paris.
Her Royal Highness the Princess Victoria (38) accompanied Their Majesties to Calais, and proceeded to Christiania on a visit to Their Majesties the King (34) and Queen of Norway (37).
Lady Eva Dugdale and Colonel Sir Henry Knollys (Comptroller and Private Secretary to Her Majesty the Queen of Norway were in attendance upon Her Royal Highness. The King and Queen are travelling u the Duke and Duchess of Lancaster. The Countess of Gosford has succeeded Lady Alice Stanley as Lady in Waiting to Her Majesty.
The Prince of Wales (41), accompanied by Prince Edward of Wales (12), was present at Victoria Station, and took leave of the King (65) and Queen (62) on Their Majesties' departure for Paris. The Hon. Derek Keppel (43) was in attendance.
