Another excellent year at Chatsworth. As usual, lots of interesting pieces. The Goulder is very fine. As is Nadim Karam's Desert Sand. Other pieces that stood out include the Hirst's, of course, they always do and the Valdes. Ji Yong-Ho's Lion 2 was superb, and appeared to attracting the most attention. Make of tyre scrapped. Very elegant. Vary photogenic. Pablo Reinoso's 'Talking Bench' very easy on the eye too; like a giant Hot Wheels track, or so my boys thought. Lastly, Jaume Plensa's 'Chloe's World'. Beautiful sculpture beautifully sighted. Wish someone would clean the leaves of it though; it was like some aged hairpiece.
The Sotheby's Selling Catalogue is worth a look for more information (takes a while to download!).
