A well known local landmark (see map), located on Middle Moor, accessible from the Snake Path, the starts on Kinder Road and ends at the Snake Pass Inn.
The Snake Path here intersects with the path to Little Hayfield, as well as the path down White Brow that goes on to Williams Clough, and Kinder.
Whilst the surrounding area is 'open country' stray from the path at your peril since the ground is notoriously boggy with many a boot being lost to the peat.
