Biography of Constance Gwladys Herbert Marchioness Ripon 1859-1917

On 02 Aug 1861 [her father] Sidney Herbert 1st Baron Herbert Lea (age 50) died. His son [her brother] George Robert Charles Herbert 13th Earl Pembroke 10th Earl Montgomery 1850-1895 (age 11) succeeded 2nd Baron Herbert Lea.

On 15 Aug 1876 Henry Lowther 3rd Earl Lonsdale (age 58) died. His son [her future husband] George Henry Lowther 4th Earl Lonsdale 1855-1882 (age 20) succeeded 4th Earl Lonsdale, 5th Viscount Lowther, 5th Baron Lowther.

On 08 Feb 1882 [her husband] George Henry Lowther 4th Earl Lonsdale 1855-1882 (age 26) died at a house in London he had purchased for Connie Gilchrist (age 17) and other girls of the Gaiety Theatre. He bequeathed the house, and a sizeable legacy, to Gilchrist. On 09 Jul 1909 [her father-in-law] George Frederick Samuel Robinson 1st Marquess Ripon (age 81) died. His son [her husband] Frederick Oliver Robinson 2nd Marquess Ripon 1852-1923 (age 57) succeeded 2nd Marquess Ripon, 4th Earl de Grey, 3rd Earl Ripon, 3rd Viscount Gooderich of Nocton in Lincolnshire, 5th Baron Grantham, 8th Baronet Robinson of Newby in Yorkshire.
