She was married to Robert Dudley 1st Earl of Leicester 1532-1588 (28), favourite of Queen Elizabeth I of England and Ireland (27), who was with Queen Elizabeth I of England and Ireland (27) at Windsor Castle at the time. Foul play was suspected but not proven. The event was regarded as suspicious by many. The Queen's reputation being tarnished she could not risk a marriage with Dudley.

Rhiwallon ap Cynfyn Mathrafal -1069 and Idwal Cadelling -1069 were killed. Maredudd Cadelling -1069 died of exposure following the battle.

On 12 Nov 1282 the English forces attempted to cross the Menai Straits to invade Gwynedd without waiting for the arrival of Edward's larger force. The battle was a rout. Roger Clifford 1243-1282 (39) drowned. The brothers William Burnell -1282 and Philip Burnell -1282 were killed. .

The Chronica Majora reports "... that during the panic of the storm, Sir John murdered those of his men who refused to make for shore for fear of being shipwrecked upon the rocks. Subsequently, after safely arriving on an island off the Irish coast, Sir John and his boat captain were swept back into the sea and drowned". Sinking of HMS Gloucester

On 06 May 1682 Richard Hill -1682 drowned off Great Yarmouth during the Sinking of HMS Gloucester when it struck a sandbank. The future James II King England, Scotland and Ireland 1633-1701 (48) and John Churchill 1st Duke Marlborough 1650-1722 (31) were rescued in the ship's boat.
John Hope of Hopetoun 1651-1682 drowned. He gave up his seat in a lifeboat to the future James II King England, Scotland and Ireland 1633-1701 (48) for which his son was rewarded with an Earldom twenty-one years later when he came of age.

On 25 Apr 1721 James Herbert MP 1690-1721 (16) drowned having fallen off a footbridge near his home whilst out walking. He is known to have suffered from apoplexy; his most recent occurrence being five days prior to his death.

On 05 Nov 1743 Erasmus Philipps 5th Baronet Philips 1699-1743 (43) drowned in the River Avon after his horse was frightened by pigs. He was unmarried. His brother John Philipps 6th Baronet Philips 1699-1764 (43) succeeded 6th Baronet Philips of Picton Castle.

On 17 Sep 1783 Richard Eyre Cox -1783 drowned at his home in Dunmanwy, County Cork. During an afternoon boating on a nearby pond. He was accidently knocked out by an aor and subsequently drowned.

In Oct 1793 George Samuel Browne 8th Viscount Montague 1769-1793 (24) was drowned whilst trying to ride the Rhine Falls, Schaffhausen with his friend Charles Sedley Burdett with whom he was travelling. Given the Rhine Falls is 150 feet wide and 75 feet high, attempting to ride the falls in a fishing boat was not one of George's best ideas.
