In 1535 Cicely Baker Countess Dorset was born to John Baker (age 47) and Elizabeth Dinley (age 40) in Sissinghurst, Kent.

In 1550 [her mother] Elizabeth Dinley (age 55) died.

In 1555 Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 19) and Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 20) were married. He the son of Richard Sackville (age 48) and Winifred Brydges Marchioness Winchester.

In 1558 [her father] John Baker (age 70) died.

In 1561 [her son] Robert Sackville 2nd Earl Dorset was born to [her husband] Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 25) and Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 26).

Henry Machyn's Diary. 16 Jul 1561. The xvj day of July was cristened Robard Dethyke the sune of ser Gylbartt Dethyke (age 51), Garter, in the parryche of sant Gylles withowt Crepull-gatte [Map], and the chyrche hangyd with clothes of arrys and the cloth of state, and strode with gren rysses and strode with orbese [herbs], and ser Wylliam Huett (age 65) depute for my lord of Shrowsbere (age 33) and master Care [Carey] [Note. Possibly George Carey 2nd Baron Hunsdon (age 14)] depute for my lord Honsdon (age 35), and my lade Sakefeld [Note. Possibly Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 26)] the quen('s) depute; and after wafurs and epocrasse grett plente, and myche pepull ther, and my lade Yorke bare my lade depute's trayne; and so hom to here plase, and had a bankett. a bankett .... [master Alexander Avenon was] chosen the shreyff for the quen('s) grace.

Note. P. 264. Christening of Robert Dethiek. It was no unfrequent honour paid by queen Elizabeth to her subjects to stand godmother to their children. In a list of her presents of plate there are nine instances between the 21st April and the 24th Nov. 1561, and among them, "Item, given by her Majestie the 15th of July, to the chrystenyng of sir William Dethyk, alias Garter king at armes, his childe, oone guilte cup with a cover, per oz. 19¼ dim. oz. Bought of the Goldsmyth." Queen Elizabeth's Progresses, edit. 1823, vol. i. p. 129.

In 1565 Gregory Fiennes 10th Baron Dacre Gilsland (age 25) and [her sister-in-law] Anne Sackville Baroness Dacre Gilsland were married. She by marriage Baroness Dacre Gilsland. She the daughter of Richard Sackville (age 58) and Winifred Brydges Marchioness Winchester. He a great x 5 grandson of King Edward III of England.

In 1567 [her husband] Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 31) was created 1st Baron Buckhurst. Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 32) by marriage Baroness Buckhurst.

Around 1570 [her son] William Sackville was born to [her husband] Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 34) and Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 35).

Around 1573 [her daughter] Jane Sackville Viscountess Montague was born to [her husband] Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 37) and Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 38).

In Feb 1580 [her son] Robert Sackville 2nd Earl Dorset (age 19) and [her daughter-in-law] Margaret Howard (age 18) were married. She the daughter of Thomas Howard 4th Duke of Norfolk and Margaret Audley Duchess Norfolk. He the son of Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 44) and Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 45).

In 1584 [her daughter] Mary Sackville was born to [her husband] Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 48) and Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 49).

Before 1589 [her son-in-law] Henry Glemham and [her daughter] Anne Sackville (age 24) were married. She the daughter of Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 52) and Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 53).

In 1591 [her son-in-law] Anthony Maria Browne 2nd Viscount Montagu (age 16) and [her daughter] Jane Sackville Viscountess Montague (age 18) were married. She by marriage Viscountess Montagu. She the daughter of Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 55) and Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 56).

In 1592 [her son] William Sackville (age 22) died.

On 04 Dec 1592 [her son] Robert Sackville 2nd Earl Dorset (age 31) and [her daughter-in-law] Anne Spencer Countess Dorset were married. He the son of Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 56) and Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 57).

In 1595 [her sister-in-law] Anne Sackville Baroness Dacre Gilsland died.

Before 1601 [her son-in-law] Henry Neville 9th and 7th Baron Bergavenny (age 22) and [her daughter] Mary Sackville (age 16) were married at Buckhurst Withyham. She the daughter of Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 64) and Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 65).

In 1604 [her husband] Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 68) was created 1st Earl Dorset. Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 69) by marriage Countess Dorset.

On 19 Apr 1608 [her husband] Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 72) died suddenly at the council table, having apparently suffered a stroke. His funeral was held at Westminster Abbey [Map]. He was buried in the Sackville Chapel St Michael's Church Withyham East Sussex. His son [her son] Robert Sackville 2nd Earl Dorset (age 47) succeeded 2nd Earl Dorset, 2nd Baron Buckhurst. [her daughter-in-law] Anne Spencer Countess Dorset by marriage Countess Dorset.

Around 1613 [her daughter] Mary Sackville (age 29) died.

On 01 Oct 1615 Cicely Baker Countess Dorset (age 80) died in Buckhurst.
