On 22 Jan 1669 Alice Leigh 1st Duchess Dudley (age 91) died in the parish St Giles in the Fields Church, Camden [Map]. She was buried at Church of the Virgin Mary Stoneleigh [Map]. Duke Dudley extinct since it was created for life only.

After 22 Jan 1669. Church of the Virgin Mary Stoneleigh [Map]. Monument to Alice Leigh 1st Duchess Dudley (deceased) and her daughter. A large elaborate memorial in black and white marble erected in 1668. Has two recumbent female figures under a canopy supported on eight Ionic columns and on either side an angel with trumpet holding back curtains. Possibly sculpted by William Wright of Charing Cross.

He was educated at Harrow School then Trinity College, Cambridge University [Map].

On 27 Sep 1850 Chandos Leigh 1st Baron Leigh (age 59) died. His son William Henry Leigh 2nd Baron Leigh (age 26) succeeded 2nd Baron Leigh of Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. Caroline Amelia Grosvenor Baroness Leigh (age 22) by marriage Baroness Leigh of Stoneleigh in Warwickshire.

Chandos Leigh 1st Baron Leigh: On 27 Jun 1791 he was born to James Henry Leigh of Adlestrop and Julia Judith Twisleton. Coefficient of inbreeding 1.76%. On 08 Jun 1819 Chandos Leigh 1st Baron Leigh and Margaret Willes were married. In 1839 Chandos Leigh 1st Baron Leigh was created 1st Baron Leigh of Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. Margarette Willes Baroness Leigh by marriage Baroness Leigh of Stoneleigh in Warwickshire.

William Henry Leigh 2nd Baron Leigh: On 17 Jan 1824 he was born to Chandos Leigh 1st Baron Leigh and Margarette Willes Baroness Leigh. He was baptised at St Mary Magdalene's Church, Adlestrop, and for a second time, at Church of the Virgin Mary Stoneleigh on 10 Sep 1824. He was educated at Harrow School then Trinity College, Cambridge University. On 22 Aug 1848 William Henry Leigh 2nd Baron Leigh and Caroline Grosvenor were married. They had eight children. She the daughter of Richard Grosvenor 2nd Marquess Westminster and Elizabeth Mary Leveson-Gower Marchioness Westminster.

Caroline Amelia Grosvenor Baroness Leigh: On 14 Jun 1828 she was born to Richard Grosvenor 2nd Marquess Westminster and Elizabeth Mary Leveson-Gower Marchioness Westminster. She was baptised at St Mary's Church, Eccleston on 28 Jul 828.

Margarette Willes Baroness Leigh: On 05 Apr 1798 she was born. On 05 Feb 1860 she died.

On 15 Sep 1884 Gilbert Henry Chandos Leigh (age 33) died in a hunting accident on a shooting expedition in the Big Horn Mountains Wyoming. Monument in Church of the Virgin Mary Stoneleigh [Map] sculpted by Edwardo Orlandini.

Gilbert Henry Chandos Leigh: On 01 Sep 1851 he was born to William Henry Leigh 2nd Baron Leigh and Caroline Amelia Grosvenor Baroness Leigh.

On 21 Oct 1905 William Henry Leigh 2nd Baron Leigh (age 81) died. On 21 Oct 1905 His son Francis Dudley Leigh 3rd Baron Leigh (age 50) succeeded 3rd Baron Leigh of Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. Frances Beckwith Baroness Leigh by marriage Baroness Leigh of Stoneleigh in Warwickshire.

In Loving Memon of William Henry, 2nd Baron Leigh, for Forty-Nine Years Lord Lieutenant of Wancickshire born 17 January 1824, died 21 October 1905 and of Caroline Amelia (age 77) his wife, daughter of 2nd Marquess of Westminster born 14 June 1828 and died 24 March 1906.

The monument carries the heraldic arms of the family their motto Tout Vient de Dieu (Everything Comes from God) and in an especially lovely design of white and gold lilies around the Cross, are the words: LOVELY AND PLEASANT IN THEIR LIVES IN DEATH THEY WERE NOT DIVIDED

Frances Beckwith Baroness Leigh: On 29 Nov 1890 Francis Dudley Leigh 3rd Baron Leigh and she were married. On 28 Apr 1909 she died.

On 24 Mar 1906 Caroline Amelia Grosvenor Baroness Leigh (age 77) died. Memorial at Church of the Virgin Mary Stoneleigh [Map].

Major Chandos Leigh: On 29 Aug 1873 he was born to Edward Chandos Leigh.

Lieutenant Edward Henry Leigh: On 14 Jul 1888 he was born to Edward Chandos Leigh. On 09 May 1915 Lieutenant Edward Henry Leigh was killed in action in the attack upon the Aubers Ridge, 9 May, 1915; unmarried. Lieutenant Leigh was mentioned in F.M. Sir John (now Lord) French's Despatch of 5 April [London Gazette, 22 June], 1915.
