On 28 Jul 1675 Charles "Don Carlo" Fitzcharles 1st Earl Plymouth (age 18) was created 1st Earl Plymouth, 1st Viscount Totnes, 1st Baron Dartmouth.
On 17 Oct 1680 Charles "Don Carlo" Fitzcharles 1st Earl Plymouth (age 23) died of dysentery at Tangier during the Siege of Tangier. Earl Plymouth, Viscount Totnes and Baron Dartmouth extinct.

On 25 Oct 1691 George Legge 1st Baron Dartmouth (age 44) died at Tower of London [Map]. He was buried at Holy Trinity Church, Minories [Map]. His son William Legge (age 19) succeeded 2nd Baron Dartmouth.
On 15 Dec 1750 William Legge 1st Earl Dartmouth (age 78) died. His grandson William Legge 2nd Earl Dartmouth (age 19) succeeded 2nd Earl Dartmouth, 3rd Baron Dartmouth.
On 15 Jul 1801 William Legge 2nd Earl Dartmouth (age 70) died. On 15 Jul 1801 His son George Legge 3rd Earl Dartmouth (age 45) succeeded 3rd Earl Dartmouth, 4th Baron Dartmouth. Frances Finch Countess Dartmouth (age 40) by marriage Countess Dartmouth.

In 1962 Humphry Legge 8th Earl Dartmouth (age 74) died. His son Gerald Legge 9th Earl of Dartmouth (age 37) succeeded 9th Earl Dartmouth, 10th Baron Dartmouth.
On 14 Dec 1997 Gerald Legge 9th Earl of Dartmouth (age 73) died. His son William Legge 10th Earl of Dartmouth (age 48) succeeded 10th Earl Dartmouth, 11th Baron Dartmouth.
