In 1456 Thomas Stanley 1st Baron Stanley (age 51) was created 1st Baron Stanley. Jane Goushill Baroness Stanley (age 55) by marriage Baroness Stanley.

On 20 Feb 1459 Thomas Stanley 1st Baron Stanley (age 54) died at Knowsley. He was buried at Burscough Priory [Map]. His son Thomas Stanley 1st Earl of Derby (age 24) succeeded King Mann, 2nd Baron Stanley. Eleanor Neville Baroness Stanley (age 12) by marriage Baroness Stanley.

Around 12 Jun 1472 Thomas Stanley 1st Earl of Derby (age 37) and Margaret Beaufort Countess Richmond (age 29) were married. She by marriage Queen Mann, Baroness Stanley. She the daughter of John Beaufort 1st Duke Somerset and Margaret Beauchamp Duchess Somerset (age 62). They were third cousins. He a great x 4 grandson of King Edward "Longshanks" I of England. She a great x 2 granddaughter of King Edward III of England.

On 29 Jul 1504 Thomas Stanley 1st Earl of Derby (age 69) died. He was buried at Burscough Priory [Map]. His grandson Thomas Stanley 2nd Earl of Derby (age 19) succeeded 2nd Earl Derby, 10th Baron Strange Knockin, 6th Baron Mohun of Dunster, 3rd Baron Stanley.

On 23 May 1521 Thomas Stanley 2nd Earl of Derby (age 36) died. His son Edward Stanley 3rd Earl of Derby (age 12) succeeded 3rd Earl Derby, 11th Baron Strange Knockin, 7th Baron Mohun of Dunster, 4th Baron Stanley. Katherine Howard Countess Derby by marriage Countess Derby.

On 24 Oct 1572 Edward Stanley 3rd Earl of Derby (age 63) died at Lathom. His son Henry Stanley 4th Earl of Derby (age 41) succeeded 4th Earl Derby, 12th Baron Strange Knockin, 8th Baron Mohun of Dunster, 5th Baron Stanley. Margaret Clifford Countess Derby (age 32) by marriage Countess Derby.

Richard Shireburn (age 50) was an executor in his will.

On 25 Sep 1593 Henry Stanley 4th Earl of Derby (age 62) died at Lathom. His son Ferdinando Stanley 5th Earl of Derby (age 34) succeeded 5th Earl Derby, 13th Baron Strange Knockin, 9th Baron Mohun of Dunster, 6th Baron Stanley. Alice Spencer Countess Derby (age 44) by marriage Countess Derby.

On 16 Apr 1594 Ferdinando Stanley 5th Earl of Derby (age 35) died from poisoning. His brother William Stanley 6th Earl of Derby (age 33) succeeded 6th Earl Derby. Baron Stanley abeyant.

The KING has been pleased, by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, bearing date the 7th instant, to declare that Edith Maud, Countess of Loudoun, is and shall be Baroness Botreaux and Baroness Hastings; and to give, grant and confirm the Baronies of Botreaux and Hastings which fell into abeyance on the death of Charles Edward Hastings, Earl of Loudoun, on the 17th day of May, 1920, to the said Edith Maud (age 37), Countess of Loudoun: To have and to hold the said Baronies, together with all the rights, privileges, pre-eminences, immunities and advantages, and the place and precedence due and (belonging thereto to her and to the heirs of her body lawfully begotten and to be begotten in as full and ample a manner as the said Charles Edward Hastings; Earl of Loudoun, or any of his ancestors held and enjoyed the same.

And also to declare that the said Edith Maud, Countess of Loudoun, is and shall be Baroness Stanley; and: to give, grant and confirm, the Barony of Stanley which, fell into abeyance on the death of Ferdinando, 5th Earl of Derby, in the year 1594, to the said Edith Maud, Countess of Loudoun (age 37): To have and to hold the said Barony, together with, all the rights, privileges, pre-eminences, immunities and advantages, and the place and precedence due and belonging thereto to her and to the heirs of her body lawfully (begotten and to be begotten in as full and ample a manner as the said Ferdinando, 5th Earl of Derby, or any of ihis ancestors held and enjoyed the same.

Note. Edith Maud Rawdon-Hastings 12th Countess Loudon (age 37) abeyance terminated 23rd Baroness Botreaux, 7th Baroness Stanley and 20th Baroness Hastings. She and her sister Elizabeth Frances Abney-Hastings Viscountess St Davids (age 36) had petitioned the Committee for Privileges for six titles Baron Strange Knockin, Baron Botreaux, Baron Hungerford, Baron Moleyns, Baron Stanley and Baron Hastings. The titles were shared three each between them.

After 24 Feb 1960 Edith Maud Rawdon-Hastings 12th Countess Loudon (age 76) died. Her daughter Barbara Abney-Hastings 13th Countess of Loudoun (age 40) succeeded 13th Countess Loudon. Peter Griffiths Earl Loudon (age 35) by marriage Earl Loudon.

Baron Stanley Alderley (2nd Creation)

In 1839 John Stanley 1st Baron Stanley Alderley (age 72) was created 1st Baron Stanley Alderley. Maria Josepha Holroyd Baroness Stanley Alderley by marriage Baroness Stanley Alderley.

On 23 Oct 1850 John Stanley 1st Baron Stanley Alderley (age 83) died. His son Edward John Stanley 2nd Baron Stanley and 1st Baron Eddisbury (age 47) succeeded 2nd Baron Stanley Alderley, 8th Baronet Stanley of Alderley in Cheshire. Henrietta Maria Dillon Baroness Stanley Alderley and Eddisbury (age 42) by marriage Baroness Stanley Alderley.

On 10 Dec 1903 Henry Edward Stanley 3rd Baron Stanley 2nd Baron Eddisbury (age 76) died. He was buried according to Muslim rites in unconsecrated ground in the garden of the Dower House on his family's estate, Alderley Park, Cheshire [Map]. His brother Edward Lyulph Stanley 4th Baron Stanley 3rd Baron Eddisbury (age 64) succeeded 4th Baron Stanley Alderley, 3rd Baron Eddisbury of Winnington in Cheshire, 10th Baronet Stanley of Alderley in Cheshire.
