John Gore was born to Gerard Gore.

In 1614 John Gore was elected Sheriff of London but did not take office until 1615.
On 19 Dec 1615 John Gore was elected Alderman of Aldersgate Ward.
In 1618 John Gore was elected Alderman of Castle Baynard [Map].
In 1621 John Gore was elected Alderman of Walbrook.
In 1624 John Gore was elected Lord Mayor of London.
On 04 Jun 1626 John Gore was knighted.
In 1631 John Gore was elected president of Christ's Hospital.
