In 1638 Claud Hamilton 2nd Baron Hamilton of Strabane (age 33) died. His son James Hamilton 3rd Baron Hamilton of Strabane (age 5) succeeded 3rd Baron Hamilton of Strabane.
In 1655 James Hamilton 3rd Baron Hamilton of Strabane (age 22) drowned in the River Mourne near Strabane. His brother George Hamilton 4th Baron Hamilton of Strabane (age 21) succeeded 4th Baron Hamilton of Strabane.
In 1668 George Hamilton 4th Baron Hamilton of Strabane (age 34) died. His son Claud Hamilton 4th Earl Abercorn (age 9) succeeded 5th Baron Hamilton of Strabane.
In 1670 James Hamilton 2nd Earl Abercorn (age 66) died. His son George Hamilton 3rd Earl Abercorn (age 34) succeeded 3rd Earl Abercorn. His brother Claud Hamilton 2nd Baron Hamilton of Strabane succeeded 2nd Baron Hamilton of Strabane.
