On 19 May 1653 [her father] Arthur Capell 1st Earl Essex (age 21) and [her mother] Elizabeth Percy Countess Essex (age 17) were married. She the daughter of [her grandfather] Algernon Percy 10th Earl of Northumberland (age 50) and [her grandmother] Anne Cecil.

In 1674 Anne Capell Countess Carlisle was born to Arthur Capell 1st Earl Essex (age 41) and Elizabeth Percy Countess Essex (age 38).

Evelyn's Diary. 18 Apr 1680. As for my Lord, he is a sober, wise, judicious, and pondering person, not illiterate beyond the rate of most noblemen in this age, very well versed in English history and affairs, industrious, frugal, methodical, and every way accomplished. His [her mother] Lady (age 44) (being sister of the late [her uncle] Earl of Northumberland) is a wise, yet somewhat melancholy woman, setting her heart too much on the little lady, her daughter (age 6), of whom she is over fond. They have a hopeful [her brother] son (age 9) at the Academy.

In 1683 Charles Howard 3rd Earl Carlisle (age 14) and Anne Capell Countess Carlisle (age 9) were married. She the daughter of Arthur Capell 1st Earl Essex (age 50) and Elizabeth Percy Countess Essex (age 47). He the son of Edward Howard 2nd Earl Carlisle (age 36) and Elizabeth Uvedale Countess Carlisle. They were half third cousins.

On 23 Apr 1692 [her father-in-law] Edward Howard 2nd Earl Carlisle (age 45) died. His son [her husband] Charles Howard 3rd Earl Carlisle (age 23) succeeded 3rd Earl Carlisle. Anne Capell Countess Carlisle (age 18) by marriage Countess Carlisle.

On 14 Aug 1694 [her son] Henry Howard 4th Earl Carlisle was born to [her husband] Charles Howard 3rd Earl Carlisle (age 25) and Anne Capell Countess Carlisle (age 20). He was educated at Eton College [Map] and Trinity College, Cambridge University [Map].

In 1696 [her daughter] Anne Howard Viscountess Irvine was born to [her husband] Charles Howard 3rd Earl Carlisle (age 27) and Anne Capell Countess Carlisle (age 22).

In 1701 [her daughter] Elizabeth Anne Howard was born to [her husband] Charles Howard 3rd Earl Carlisle (age 32) and Anne Capell Countess Carlisle (age 27).

In 1717 [her son-in-law] Rich Ingram 5th Viscount Irvine (age 28) and [her daughter] Anne Howard Viscountess Irvine (age 21) were married. She by marriage Viscountess Irvine. She the daughter of [her husband] Charles Howard 3rd Earl Carlisle (age 48) and Anne Capell Countess Carlisle (age 43). They were fourth cousins.

In 1717 [her son] Henry Howard 4th Earl Carlisle (age 22) and [her daughter-in-law] Frances Spencer Countess Carlisle (age 21) were married. She the daughter of Charles Spencer 3rd Earl of Sunderland (age 41) and Arabella Cavendish. He the son of [her husband] Charles Howard 3rd Earl Carlisle (age 48) and Anne Capell Countess Carlisle (age 43). They were third cousin once removed.

On 01 May 1738 [her husband] Charles Howard 3rd Earl Carlisle (age 69) died at Bath, Somerset [Map]. He was buried at Castle Howard Mausoleum Castle Howard. His son [her son] Henry Howard 4th Earl Carlisle (age 43) succeeded 4th Earl Carlisle. [her daughter-in-law] Frances Spencer Countess Carlisle (age 42) by marriage Countess Carlisle.

In 1743 [her son] Henry Howard 4th Earl Carlisle (age 48) and [her daughter-in-law] Isabella Byron Countess Carlisle (age 21) were married. She by marriage Countess Carlisle. The difference in their ages was 27 years. He the son of [her former husband] Charles Howard 3rd Earl Carlisle and Anne Capell Countess Carlisle (age 69). They were fourth cousins.
