On 11 Aug 1646 [his father] George Berkeley 1st Earl Berkeley (age 18) and [his mother] Elizabeth Massingberd Couness Berkeley were married.
On 08 Apr 1649 Charles Berkeley 2nd Earl Berkeley was born to George Berkeley 1st Earl Berkeley (age 21) and Elizabeth Massingberd Couness Berkeley.
Evelyn's Diary. 12 Apr 1656. Mr. Berkeley (age 7) and Mr. Robert Boyle (age 29) (that excellent person and great virtuoso), Dr. Taylor (age 43), and Dr. Wilkins (age 42), dined with me at Sayes Court [Map], when I presented Dr. Wilkins with my rare burning-glass. In the afternoon, we all went to Colonel Blount's (age 52), to see his newly-invented plows.

Pepy's Diary. 14 Jul 1667. By and by he parted, and we took coach and to take the ayre, there being a fine breeze abroad; and I went and carried them to the well, and there filled some bottles of water to carry home with me; and there talked with the two women that farm the well, at £12 per annum, of the lord of the manor, Mr. Evelyn (age 50) (who with his lady, and also my [his father] Lord George Barkeley's (age 39) [his mother] lady, and their fine [his sister] daughter (age 17), that the King of France (age 28) liked so well, and did dance so rich in jewells before the King (age 37) at the Ball I was at, at our Court, last winter, and also their son (age 18), a Knight of the Bath, were at church this morning).
On 16 Aug 1677 Charles Berkeley 2nd Earl Berkeley (age 28) and Elizabeth Noel Countess Berkeley (age 23) were married. He the son of George Berkeley 1st Earl Berkeley (age 49) and Elizabeth Massingberd Couness Berkeley.
On 17 Jun 1679 [his son] Charles Berkeley was born to Charles Berkeley 2nd Earl Berkeley (age 30) and [his wife] Elizabeth Noel Countess Berkeley (age 25).
After 17 Jun 1679 [his son] James Berkeley 3rd Earl Berkeley was born to Charles Berkeley 2nd Earl Berkeley (age 30) and [his wife] Elizabeth Noel Countess Berkeley (age 25).
On 29 Sep 1679 John Manners 8th Earl of Rutland (age 75) died at Nether Haddon [Map]. He was buried at St Mary the Virgin Church, Bottesford, Leicestershire [Map]. His son John Manners 1st Duke Rutland (age 41) succeeded 9th Earl of Rutland. [his sister-in-law] Catherine Noel Duchess Rutland (age 22) by marriage Countess of Rutland.
After 1680 [his son] George Berkeley was born to Charles Berkeley 2nd Earl Berkeley (age 30) and [his wife] Elizabeth Noel Countess Berkeley (age 26).
On 29 Oct 1682 [his father-in-law] Baptist Noel 3rd Viscount Campden (age 71) died. His son [his brother-in-law] Edward Noel 1st Earl Gainsborough (age 41) succeeded 4th Viscount Campden, 4th Baron Hicks of Ilmington in Warwickshire. Elizabeth Wriothesley Countess Gainsborough (age 36) by marriage Viscountess Campden. He was buried at Church of St Peter and St Paul, Exton, Rutlandshire [Map].
A huge monument in black and white marble, with a tall base on which stand obelisks, on balls capped by two black urns and a large open pediment. Within, are the Viscount and his fourth wife Elizabeth Bertie Viscountess Campden (age 42) in effigy and various low reliefs, depicting his previous wives and nineteen children, in Roman dress, completed by Grinling Gibbons (age 34).
Elizabeth Bertie Viscountess Campden: In 1640 she was born to Montagu Bertie 2nd Earl Lindsey and Martha Cockayne Countess Lindsey and Holderness. On 06 Jul 1655 Baptist Noel 3rd Viscount Campden and she were married. She by marriage Viscountess Campden. The difference in their ages was 29 years. She the daughter of Montagu Bertie 2nd Earl Lindsey and Martha Cockayne Countess Lindsey and Holderness. They were second cousin twice removed. In 1683 Elizabeth Bertie Viscountess Campden died.
On 01 Dec 1682 [his brother-in-law] Edward Noel 1st Earl Gainsborough (age 41) was created 1st Earl Gainsborough. Elizabeth Wriothesley Countess Gainsborough (age 36) by marriage Countess Gainsborough.
On 26 Apr 1683 [his brother-in-law] Edward Noel 1st Earl Gainsborough (age 42) and Mary Herbert Countess Gainsborough were married. She by marriage Countess Gainsborough. They were fourth cousins.
In Jan 1689 [his brother-in-law] Edward Noel 1st Earl Gainsborough (age 48) died. His son Wriothesley Baptist Noel 2nd Earl Gainsborough (age 28) succeeded 2nd Earl Gainsborough, 5th Viscount Campden, 5th Baron Hicks of Ilmington in Warwickshire. Catherine Greville Duchess Buckingham and Normandby by marriage Countess Gainsborough.
Around 1690 [his son] Henry Berkeley was born to Charles Berkeley 2nd Earl Berkeley (age 40) and [his wife] Elizabeth Noel Countess Berkeley (age 36).
On 10 Oct 1698 [his father] George Berkeley 1st Earl Berkeley (age 70) died. He was buried at St Dunstan Church Cranford. His son Charles Berkeley 2nd Earl Berkeley (age 49) succeeded 2nd Earl Berkeley, 2nd Viscount Dursley, 10th Baron Berkeley. [his wife] Elizabeth Noel Countess Berkeley (age 44) by marriage Countess Berkeley.
On 29 Mar 1703 John Manners 1st Duke Rutland (age 64) was created 1st Duke Rutland, 1st Marquess Grandby. [his sister-in-law] Catherine Noel Duchess Rutland (age 46) by marriage Duchess Rutland.
On 15 Sep 1706 [his son-in-law] John Germain 1st Baronet (age 56) and [his daughter] Elizabeth Berkeley Lady Germain were married. She brought £6000 to the marriage. She the daughter of Charles Berkeley 2nd Earl Berkeley (age 57) and [his wife] Elizabeth Noel Countess Berkeley (age 52).
On 24 Sep 1710 Charles Berkeley 2nd Earl Berkeley (age 61) died. His son [his son] James Berkeley 3rd Earl Berkeley (age 31) succeeded 3rd Earl Berkeley, 3rd Viscount Dursley, 11th Baron Berkeley.
On 30 Jul 1719 [his former wife] Elizabeth Noel Countess Berkeley (age 65) died.
[his daughter] Elizabeth Berkeley Lady Germain was born to Charles Berkeley 2nd Earl Berkeley and Elizabeth Noel Countess Berkeley.
[his daughter] Mary Berkeley was born to Charles Berkeley 2nd Earl Berkeley and Elizabeth Noel Countess Berkeley.
[his daughter] Penelope Berkeley was born to Charles Berkeley 2nd Earl Berkeley and Elizabeth Noel Countess Berkeley.
