Evelyn's Diary. 06 Jun 1687. I visited my [his mother] Lady Pierpoint, daughter to [his grandfather] Sir John Evelyn, of Deane [in Wilts], now widow of [his father] Mr. Pierpoint, and mother of the [his brother] Earl of Kingston. She was now engaged in the marriage of my cousin, Evelyn Pierpoint (age 32), her second son.
In 1689 Evelyn Pierrepont 1st Duke Kingston upon Hull (age 34) was elected MP East Retford.
On or before 26 May 1689 [his daughter] Mary Wortley-Montagu née Pierrepont was born to Evelyn Pierrepont 1st Duke Kingston upon Hull (age 34) and [his wife] Mary Fielding Countess Kingston upon Hull (age 21). On 26 May 1689 she was baptised at St Paul's Church, Covent Garden.

His brother Evelyn Pierrepont 1st Duke Kingston upon Hull (age 35) succeeded 5th Earl Kingston upon Hull, 5th Viscount Newark, 5th Baron Pierrepont of Holme Pierrepoint. Evelyn's Diary. 01 Jan 1699. My cousin [his mother] Pierrepoint died. She was daughter to [his grandfather] Sir John Evelyn, of Wilts, my father's nephew; she was widow to [his father] William Pierrepoint, brother to the Marquis of Dorchester, and mother to Evelyn Pierrepoint, Earl of Kingston (age 44); a most excellent and prudent lady.
In 1706 Evelyn Pierrepont 1st Duke Kingston upon Hull (age 51) was created 1st Marquess Dorchester.
