In 1711 Evelyn Pierrepont 2nd Duke Kingston upon Hull was born to William Pierrepont (age 19) and Rachel Bayntun (age 16).

In 1711 [his father] William Pierrepont (age 19) and [his mother] Rachel Bayntun (age 16) were married. He the son of [his grandfather] Evelyn Pierrepont 1st Duke Kingston upon Hull (age 56) and [his grandmother] Mary Fielding Countess Kingston upon Hull.

On 05 Mar 1726 [his grandfather] Evelyn Pierrepont 1st Duke Kingston upon Hull (age 71) died. He was buried at the Church of St Edmund, Holme Pierrepoint [Map]. His grandson Evelyn Pierrepont 2nd Duke Kingston upon Hull (age 15) succeeded 2nd Duke Kingston upon Hull, 2nd Marquess Dorchester, 6th Earl Kingston upon Hull, 6th Viscount Newark, 6th Baron Pierrepont of Holme Pierrepoint.

In 1738 Evelyn Pierrepont 2nd Duke Kingston upon Hull (age 27) was appointed Master of the Staghounds.

1741 Creation of Garter Knights

In 1741 King George II of Great Britain and Ireland (age 57) created new Garter Knights as follows:

554th Frederick Hesse-Kassel (age 20). Probably as a consequence of his having married the daughter of King George II.

555th Charles Beauclerk 2nd Duke St Albans (age 44),

556th Charles Spencer 3rd Duke of Marlborough (age 34),

557th Evelyn Pierrepont 2nd Duke Kingston upon Hull (age 30),

558th William Bentinck 2nd Duke Portland (age 31),

559th Duke Frederick III of Saxe Coburg Altenburg III (age 41).

On 04 Aug 1744 Augustus John Hervey 3rd Earl Bristol (age 20) and [his future wife] Elizabeth Chudleigh Duchess Kingston upon Hull (age 23) were married privately at Lainston House Winchester. There marriage remained a secret until she wanted to marry Evelyn Pierrepont 2nd Duke Kingston upon Hull (age 33) in 1769 at which time she initiated a suit of jactitation against him requiring him to prove they were married. The court found in her favour.

Henry Chaplin A Memoir: Youth I. It must have been immediately after the marriage of Diana Chaplin (age 18), and probably in honour of that event, that a masquerade was held at Blankney Hall, of which a list of some of the principal guests and their impersonations has been preserved. Thomas Chaplin having died in 1747, his son John (age 28), who was not yet married, was presumably the host on this occasion. He chose for himself the character of Henry V Ill., and if he enjoyed the same splendid proportions as his descendant, the last Squire, his choice was justified. An old yellow torn sheet of paper has been preserved on which in faded ink is written:

Among all this motley crowd, not the least imposing figure was probably that of Sir Francis Dashwood, appropriate in the character chosen, since he was one of the most prominent supporters of the Hell Fire Club.1

Note 1. He was Chancellor of the Exchequer. Wilkes described him as one who from puzzling all his life at tavern bills was called by Lord Bute to administer the finances of the Kingdom which were 100 millions in debt He was the founder of the Society of the Franciscans at Medmenham Abbey, where the door was surmounted by the motto, "Fay ce que voudras" ["Do Whatever You Want"], and where he played the part of an immoral buffoon for the amusement of Privy Councillors and Members of Parliament.

On 08 Mar 1769 Evelyn Pierrepont 2nd Duke Kingston upon Hull (age 58) and Elizabeth Chudleigh Duchess Kingston upon Hull (age 48) were married. In 1771 [his daughter] Georgiana Ann Pierrepont was born to Evelyn Pierrepont 2nd Duke Kingston upon Hull (age 60) and [his wife] Elizabeth Chudleigh Duchess Kingston upon Hull (age 49). There is some uncertainty about her parentage.
