In 1597 Francis Leigh (age 18) was elected MP Weymouth and Melcombe Regis.

On 28 Apr 1598 [his son] Francis Leigh 1st Earl Chichester was born to Francis Leigh (age 19) and [his future wife] Mary Egerton (age 19).

Before 1601 Francis Leigh (age 22) and Mary Egerton (age 21) were married.

In 1601 Francis Leigh (age 22) was elected MP Oxford.

On 27 Jun 1602 [his brother-in-law] John Egerton 1st Earl Bridgewater (age 23) and Frances Stanley Countess Bridgewater (age 19) were married. She the daughter of Ferdinando Stanley 5th Earl of Derby and Alice Spencer Countess Derby (age 53). She a great x 3 granddaughter of King Henry VII of England and Ireland.

In 1618 Francis Leigh (age 39) was appointed High Sheriff of Warwickshire.

In 1621 Francis Leigh (age 42) was elected MP Warwickshire.

In 1625 Francis Leigh (age 46) died.
