In May 1651 John Temple (age 19) was elected MP Carlow Borough.
In Sep 1651 John Temple (age 19) was appointed Speaker of the House of Commons.
In 1652 John Temple (age 19) was awarded Master of Arts: Cambridge University at Cambridge University.
In Jul 1660 John Temple (age 28) was appointed Solicitor General for Ireland.
In 1672 [his daughter] Jane Martha Temple Countess Portland was born to John Temple (age 39) and Jane Yarner.
Around 1673 [his son] Henry John Temple 1st Viscount Palmerston was born to John Temple (age 40) and Jane Yarner.
After 1690 John Temple (age 57) was appointed Attorney General for Ireland.
Before 27 Feb 1697 [his son-in-law] John Berkeley 3rd Baron Berkeley (age 34) and [his daughter] Jane Martha Temple Countess Portland (age 25) were married. She by marriage Baroness Berkeley of Stratton in Cornwall.
On 12 May 1700 [his son-in-law] William Bentinck 1st Earl of Portland (age 50) and [his daughter] Jane Martha Temple Countess Portland (age 28) were married. She by marriage Countess of Portland. The difference in their ages was 22 years.
On 10 Mar 1705 John Temple (age 72) died.
