On 10 Aug 1920 John Douglas-Scott-Montagu 2nd Baron Montagu of Beaulieu (age 54) and Alice Pearl Crake Baroness Montagu (age 25) were married. She by marriage Baroness Montagu Beaulieu. The difference in their ages was 28 years.

On 30 Mar 1929 John Douglas-Scott-Montagu 2nd Baron Montagu of Beaulieu (age 62) died. His son Edward John Barrington Douglas-Scott-Montagu 3rd Baron Montagu of Beaulieu (age 2) succeeded 3rd Baron Montagu Beaulieu.
