In 1547 Edmund Sheffield 1st Baron Sheffield (age 25) was created 1st Baron Sheffield of Butterwick in Lincolnshire. Anne Vere Baroness Sheffield (age 25) by marriage Baroness Sheffield of Butterwick in Lincolnshire.
On 19 Jul 1549 Edmund Sheffield 1st Baron Sheffield (age 27) was killed at Cathedral Close, Norwich Cathedral [Map] during Kett's Rebellion. His son John Sheffield 2nd Baron Sheffield (age 11) succeeded 2nd Baron Sheffield of Butterwick in Lincolnshire.
Around 1562 John Sheffield 2nd Baron Sheffield (age 24) and Douglas Howard Baroness Sheffield (age 20) were married. She by marriage Baroness Sheffield of Butterwick in Lincolnshire.
On 10 Dec 1568 John Sheffield 2nd Baron Sheffield (age 30) died. His son Edmund Sheffield 1st Earl Mulgrave (age 3) succeeded 3rd Baron Sheffield of Butterwick in Lincolnshire.
Before 13 Nov 1581 Edmund Sheffield 1st Earl Mulgrave (age 15) and Ursula Tyrwhitt (age 41) were married. She by marriage Baroness Sheffield of Butterwick in Lincolnshire. The difference in their ages was 25 years; she, unusually, being older than him.
On 04 Mar 1619 Edmund Sheffield 1st Earl Mulgrave (age 53) and Mariana Irwin Countess Mulgrave were married at St Margaret's Church, Westminster [Map]. She by marriage Baroness Sheffield of Butterwick in Lincolnshire.
In Oct 1646 Edmund Sheffield 1st Earl Mulgrave (age 80) died. His grandson Edmund Sheffield 2nd Earl Mulgrave (age 34) succeeded 2nd Earl Mulgrave, 4th Baron Sheffield of Butterwick in Lincolnshire.
