On 25 Mar 1341 Humphrey Bohun 7th Earl Hereford 6th Earl Essex 2nd Earl of Northampton was born to William Bohun 1st Earl of Northampton (age 31) and Elizabeth Badlesmere Countess Northampton (age 28). He a great grandson of King Edward I of England.

                    In Sep 1359, a case of Marriage of Two Sets of Siblings, siblings from the de Bohun family, children of William Bohun 1st Earl of Northampton (age 49), his only children, and the Fitzalan family, children of Richard Fitzalan 10th Earl of Arundel 8th Earl of Surrey 1306 1376, were married:
                
                    Richard Fitzalan 9th Earl of Surrey 11th Earl of Arundel (age 13) and Elizabeth Bohun Countess Arundel and Surrey (age 9) were married. She the daughter of William Bohun 1st Earl of Northampton and Elizabeth Badlesmere Countess Northampton. He the son of Richard Fitzalan 10th Earl of Arundel 8th Earl of Surrey (age 53) and Eleanor Plantagenet Countess Arundel and Surrey (age 40). They were third cousins. He a great x 2 grandson of King Henry III of England.  She a great granddaughter of King Edward I of England.

On 16 Sep 1360 [his father] William Bohun 1st Earl of Northampton (age 50) died. He was buried either in the Courtenay Chantry Chapel at Exeter Cathedral [Map] or at Waldon Priory and Abbey [Map]. On 15 Oct 1361 [his uncle] Humphrey Bohun 6th Earl Hereford 5th Earl Essex (age 52) died. His nephew Humphrey Bohun 7th Earl Hereford 6th Earl Essex 2nd Earl of Northampton (age 20) succeeded 7th Earl Hereford, 6th Earl Essex. [his wife] Joan Fitzalan Countess Essex, Hereford and Northampton (age 14) by marriage Countess Essex, Countess Hereford.

On 23 Apr 1365 Humphrey Bohun 7th Earl Hereford 6th Earl Essex 2nd Earl of Northampton (age 24) was appointed 41st Knight of the Garter by King Edward III of England (age 52).

Around 1366 [his daughter] Eleanor Bohun Duchess Gloucester was born to Humphrey Bohun 7th Earl Hereford 6th Earl Essex 2nd Earl of Northampton (age 24) and [his wife] Joan Fitzalan Countess Essex, Hereford and Northampton (age 19). She a great x 2 granddaughter of King Edward I of England.

Around 1368 [his daughter] Mary Bohun was born to Humphrey Bohun 7th Earl Hereford 6th Earl Essex 2nd Earl of Northampton (age 26) and [his wife] Joan Fitzalan Countess Essex, Hereford and Northampton (age 21). She a great x 2 granddaughter of King Edward I of England.

On 16 Jan 1373 Humphrey Bohun 7th Earl Hereford 6th Earl Essex 2nd Earl of Northampton (age 31) died. He was buried at Waldon Priory and Abbey [Map]. Earl Hereford, Earl Essex, Earl of Northampton extinct. His estates were divided between his two daughters [his daughter] Eleanor Bohun Duchess Gloucester (age 7), wife of [his future son-in-law] Thomas of Woodstock 1st Duke of Gloucester (age 18) and [his daughter] Mary Bohun (age 5), wife of [his future son-in-law] Henry of Bolingbroke (age 5), the future Henry IV, although the title and estates should have been inherited Gilbert Bohun who was a grandson of Humphrey Bohun 2nd Earl Hereford 1st Earl Essex.

Froissart Book 4 Chapter 94. Before 19 Oct 1398. You must know that the [his former son-in-law] earl of Derby (age 31) and the late [his former son-in-law] duke of Gloucester had married two sisters [Note. [his daughter] Mary Bohun and [his daughter] Eleanor Bohun Duchess Gloucester (age 32)], daughters to the earl of Hereford and Northampton, constable of England: the children, therefore, of the earl of Derby and duke of Gloucester were cousins-german by their mother's side, and one degree removed by their father's. To say the truth, the death of the duke of Gloucester had displeased many of the great barons of England, who frequently murmured at it when together; but the king had now so greatly extended his power, none dared to speak of it openly, nor act upon the current rumours of the mode of his death. The king had caused it to be proclaimed, that whoever should say anything respecting the duke of Gloucester or the [his former brother-in-law] earl of Arundel, should be reckoned a false and wicked traitor and incur his indignation. This threat had caused many to be silent, afraid of what might befal them, who were, nevertheless, much dissatisfied.

On 07 Apr 1419 [his former wife] Joan Fitzalan Countess Essex, Hereford and Northampton (age 72) died. She was buried at Waldon Priory and Abbey [Map].
