In 1658 James Murray 2nd Earl Annandale 3rd Viscount Stormont died. Earl Annandale extinct. David Murray 4th Viscount of Stormont [aged 22] succeeded 4th Viscount Stormont.

In or before 1665 David Murray 4th Viscount of Stormont [aged 28] and Jean Carnegie Viscountess Stormont were married. She by marriage Viscountess Stormont. She the daughter of James Carnegie 2nd Earl Southesk [aged 50].

On 24th July 1668 David Murray 4th Viscount of Stormont [aged 32] died. His son David [aged 3] succeeded 5th Viscount Stormont. Marjory Scott Viscountess Stormont by marriage Viscountess Stormont.

On 19th November 1731 David Murray 5th Viscount of Stormont [aged 66] died. His son David [aged 41] succeeded 6th Viscount Stormont.

On 23rd July 1748 David Murray 6th Viscount Stormont [aged 58] died. His son David [aged 20] succeeded 7th Viscount Stormont.

On 1st September 1796 David Murray 2nd Earl Mansfield [aged 68] died. His son David [aged 19] succeeded 3rd Earl Mansfield in Middlesex, 8th Viscount Stormont.

On 18th February 1840 David William Murray 3rd Earl of Mansfield [aged 62] died. His son William [aged 33] succeeded 4th Earl Mansfield in Middlesex, 9th Viscount Stormont.

On 1st August 1898 William David Murray 4th and 3rd Earl Mansfield [aged 92] died. His grandson William [aged 38] succeeded 5th Earl Mansfield in Middlesex, 4th Earl Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, 10th Viscount Stormont.

Abbot John Whethamstede’s Chronicle of the Abbey of St Albans

Abbot John Whethamstede's Register aka Chronicle of his second term at the Abbey of St Albans, 1451-1461, is a remarkable text that describes his first-hand experience of the beginning of the Wars of the Roses including the First and Second Battles of St Albans, 1455 and 1461, respectively, their cause, and their consequences, not least on the Abbey itself. His text also includes Loveday, Blore Heath, Northampton, the Act of Accord, Wakefield, and Towton, and ends with the Coronation of King Edward IV. In addition to the events of the Wars of the Roses, Abbot John, or his scribes who wrote the Chronicle, include details in the life of the Abbey such as charters, letters, land exchanges, visits by legates, and disputes, which provide a rich insight into the day-to-day life of the Abbey, and the challenges faced by its Abbot.

In 1935 Alan David Murray 5th and 6th Earl Mansfield [aged 71] died. His son Mungo [aged 34] succeeded 7th Earl Mansfield in Middlesex, 6th Earl Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, 11th Viscount Stormont.

On 2nd September 1971 Mungo Murray 7th and 6th Earl of Mansfield [aged 71] died. His son William [aged 41] succeeded 8th Earl Mansfield in Middlesex, 7th Earl Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, 12th Viscount Stormont.

On 21st October 2015 William Murray 8th and 7th Earl Mansfield [aged 85] died. His son Alexander [aged 59] succeeded 9th Earl Mansfield in Middlesex, 8th Earl Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, 13th Viscount Stormont.
