On 8th March 1621 Benjamin Tichborne 1st Baronet [aged 81] was created 1st Baronet Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire. Amphillis Weston Lady Tichborne [aged 69] by marriage Lady Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire.

On 6th September 1629 Benjamin Tichborne 1st Baronet [aged 89] died. His son Richard [aged 51] succeeded 2nd Baronet Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire.

In April 1657 Richard Tichborne 2nd Baronet [aged 79] died. His son Henry [aged 33] succeeded 3rd Baronet Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire. Mary Adundell Lady Tichborne [aged 29] by marriage Lady Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire.

In April 1689 Henry Tichborne 3rd Baronet [aged 65] died. His son Henry [aged 34] succeeded 4th Baronet Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire.

On 15th July 1743 Henry Tichborne 4th Baronet [aged 88] died. His brother John [aged 64] succeeded 5th Baronet Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire.

On 5th May 1748 John Hermengil Tichborne 5th Baronet [aged 69] died unmarried. His second cousin twice removed Henry [aged 38] succeeded 6th Baronet Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire.

On 16th July 1785 Henry Tichborne 6th Baronet [aged 75] died. His son Henry [aged 28] succeeded 7th Baronet Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire.

On 14th June 1821 Henry Tichborne 7th Baronet [aged 64] died. His son Henry [aged 42] succeeded 8th Baronet Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire.

On 3rd June 1845 Henry Joseph Tichborne 8th Baronet [aged 66] died. His brother Edward [aged 63] succeeded 9th Baronet Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire.

On 5th March 1853 Edward Tichborne aka Doughty 9th Baronet [aged 70] died. His brother James [aged 69] succeeded 10th Baronet Doughty-Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire.

On 11th June 1862 James Doughty-Tichborne 10th Baronet [aged 78] died. His son Alfred [aged 22] succeeded 11th Baronet Doughty-Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire.

William of Worcester's Chronicle of England

William of Worcester, born around 1415, and died around 1482 was secretary to John Fastolf, the renowned soldier of the Hundred Years War, during which time he collected documents, letters, and wrote a record of events. Following their return to England in 1440 William was witness to major events. Twice in his chronicle he uses the first person: 1. when writing about the murder of Thomas, 7th Baron Scales, in 1460, he writes '… and I saw him lying naked in the cemetery near the porch of the church of St. Mary Overie in Southwark …' and 2. describing King Edward IV's entry into London in 1461 he writes '… proclaimed that all the people themselves were to recognize and acknowledge Edward as king. I was present and heard this, and immediately went down with them into the city'. William’s Chronicle is rich in detail. It is the source of much information about the Wars of the Roses, including the term 'Diabolical Marriage' to describe the marriage of Queen Elizabeth Woodville’s brother John’s marriage to Katherine, Dowager Duchess of Norfolk, he aged twenty, she sixty-five or more, and the story about a paper crown being placed in mockery on the severed head of Richard, 3rd Duke of York.

On 27th July 1910 Henry Alfred Doughty-Tichborne 12th Baronet [aged 44] died. His son Joseph [aged 20] succeeded 13th Baronet Doughty-Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire.

On 23rd October 1930 Joseph Henry Bernard Doughty-Tichborne 13th Baronet [aged 40] died. His son Anthony [aged 16] succeeded 14th Baronet Doughty-Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire.

In 1968 Anthony Joseph Henry Doughty-Tichborne 14th Baronet [aged 53] died. Baronet Doughty-Tichborne of Tichborne in Hampshire extinct.
