On 14th February 1479 [his father] Frederick Hohenzollern I Margrave Brandenburg-Ansbach [aged 18] and [his mother] Sophia Jagiellon Margravine of Brandenburg-Ansbach [aged 14] were married. He the son of [his grandfather] Albert "Achilles" Elector Brandenburg [aged 64]. They were second cousin twice removed.
On 17th May 1490 Albert "The Elder" Hohenzollern I Duke Prussia was born to Frederick Hohenzollern I Margrave Brandenburg-Ansbach [aged 30] and Sophia Jagiellon Margravine of Brandenburg-Ansbach [aged 26].
On 5th October 1512 [his mother] Sophia Jagiellon Margravine of Brandenburg-Ansbach [aged 48] died.
In 1526 Albert "The Elder" Hohenzollern I Duke Prussia [aged 35] and Dorothea Oldenburg [aged 21] were married. She the daughter of King Frederick I of Denmark [aged 54] and Anna of Brandenburg. He the son of Frederick Hohenzollern I Margrave Brandenburg-Ansbach [aged 65] and Sophia Jagiellon Margravine of Brandenburg-Ansbach. They were half first cousin once removed.
On 11th June 1527 [his daughter] Anna Sophia Hohenzollern was born to Albert "The Elder" Hohenzollern I Duke Prussia [aged 37] and [his wife] Dorothea Oldenburg [aged 22]. Coefficient of inbreeding 2.82%. She married 24th February 1555 her second cousin Duke John Albert I of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, son of Albrecht VII Duke Mecklenburg and Anna Hohenzollern Duchess Mecklenburg, and had issue.

On 24th February 1528 [his daughter] Katharina Hohenzollern was born to Albert "The Elder" Hohenzollern I Duke Prussia [aged 37] and [his wife] Dorothea Oldenburg [aged 23]. She died the same day. Coefficient of inbreeding 2.82%.
On 5th December 1529 [his son] Frederick Albert Hohenzollern was born to Albert "The Elder" Hohenzollern I Duke Prussia [aged 39] and [his wife] Dorothea Oldenburg [aged 25]. Coefficient of inbreeding 2.82%. He died aged less than one years old.
Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke
Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson.

On 1st February 1532 [his daughter] Lucia Dorothea Hohenzollern died.
On 10th April 1533 [his father-in-law] King Frederick I of Denmark [aged 61] died. His son [his brother-in-law] Christian [aged 29] succeeded III King of Denmark.
On 4th April 1536 [his father] Frederick Hohenzollern I Margrave Brandenburg-Ansbach [aged 75] died.
On 3rd February 1537 [his daughter] Lucia Hohenzollern was born to Albert "The Elder" Hohenzollern I Duke Prussia [aged 46] and [his wife] Dorothea Oldenburg [aged 32]. Coefficient of inbreeding 2.82%. She died aged two in 1539.
In March 1539 [his son] Albert Hohenzollern was born to Albert "The Elder" Hohenzollern I Duke Prussia [aged 48] and [his wife] Dorothea Oldenburg [aged 34]. Coefficient of inbreeding 2.82%. He died aged less than one years old.
In March 1539 [his son] Albert Hohenzollern died.
In May 1539 [his daughter] Lucia Hohenzollern [aged 2] died.
On 11th April 1547 [his wife] Dorothea Oldenburg [aged 42] died.
In 1550 Albert "The Elder" Hohenzollern I Duke Prussia [aged 59] and Anna Maria Guelph Duchess Prussia [aged 17] were married. The difference in their ages was 41 years. She the daughter of Eric "The Elder" Guelph I Duke Brunswick-Lüneburg. He the son of Frederick Hohenzollern I Margrave Brandenburg-Ansbach and Sophia Jagiellon Margravine of Brandenburg-Ansbach. They were fifth cousins.
On 20th May 1551 [his daughter] Elisabeth Hohenzollern was born to Albert "The Elder" Hohenzollern I Duke Prussia [aged 61] and [his wife] Anna Maria Guelph Duchess Prussia [aged 19].
On 7th May 1553 [his son] Albert Frederick Hohenzollern Duke Prussia was born to Albert "The Elder" Hohenzollern I Duke Prussia [aged 62] and [his wife] Anna Maria Guelph Duchess Prussia [aged 21]. He married 1573 his second cousin once removed Marie Eleonore de la Marck, daughter of William de la Marck Duke of Jülich Cleves Berg and Maria Habsburg Spain Duchess Cleves, and had issue.
Abbot John Whethamstede’s Chronicle of the Abbey of St Albans
Abbot John Whethamstede's Register aka Chronicle of his second term at the Abbey of St Albans, 1451-1461, is a remarkable text that describes his first-hand experience of the beginning of the Wars of the Roses including the First and Second Battles of St Albans, 1455 and 1461, respectively, their cause, and their consequences, not least on the Abbey itself. His text also includes Loveday, Blore Heath, Northampton, the Act of Accord, Wakefield, and Towton, and ends with the Coronation of King Edward IV. In addition to the events of the Wars of the Roses, Abbot John, or his scribes who wrote the Chronicle, include details in the life of the Abbey such as charters, letters, land exchanges, visits by legates, and disputes, which provide a rich insight into the day-to-day life of the Abbey, and the challenges faced by its Abbot.
