On 20th August 1270 King Edward I of England [aged 31] and Eleanor of Castile Queen Consort England [aged 29] sailed from Dover, Kent [Map] to Tunis [Map] via Sicily [Map]. On arrival at Sicily [Map] King Charles Capet of Sicily [aged 43], brother of the recently deceased King Louis IX of France [aged 56], had signed a treaty with the Emir so Edward returned to Sicily [Map].
On 22nd September 1272 King Edward I of England [aged 33] and Eleanor of Castile Queen Consort England [aged 31] left Acre [Map] for Sicily [Map] where he spent the winter convalescing. Whilst there he learned of the death of his father King Henry III of England [aged 64], his uncle Richard of Cornwall 1st Earl Cornwall and his eldest son John Plantagenet.
John Evelyn's Diary. 19th February 1693. The Bishop of Lincoln [aged 56] preached in the afternoon at the Tabernacle near Golden Square, set up by him. Proposals of a marriage between Mr. Draper and my daughter Susanna [aged 24]. Hitherto an exceedingly warm winter, such as has seldom been known, and portending an unprosperous spring as to the fruits of the earth; our climate requires more cold and winterly weather. The dreadful and astonishing earthquake swallowing up Catania, and other famous and ancient cities, with more than 100,000 persons in Sicily [Map], on 11th January last, came now to be reported among us.

On 4th October 1190 King Richard "Lionheart" I of England [aged 33] attacked and captured Messina, Sicily [Map].
Before 12th May 1191 Berengaria of Navarre Queen Consort England [aged 26] and Eleanor of Aquitaine Queen Consort Franks and England [aged 69] met King Richard's sister Joan Plantagenet Queen Consort Sicily [aged 25] at Messina, Sicily [Map] from where they travelled to Limassol [Map].
On 15th August 1209 Frederick I King Jerusalem II Holy Roman Emperor [aged 14] and Constance Barcelona [aged 30] were married at Messina, Sicily [Map]. She the daughter of Alfonso II King Aragon and Sancha Ivrea Queen Consort Aragon. He the son of Henry Hohenstaufen VI Holy Roman Emperor. They were third cousin once removed.
In 1172 Henry Hauteville Prince Capua [aged 14] died at Palermo [Map].
On 11th November 1189 William "Good" II King Sicily [aged 34] died at Palermo [Map]. His first cousin Tancred [aged 51] succeeded King Sicily.
In February 1209 Alfonso Barcelona II Count Provence [aged 35] died at Palermo [Map] whilst accompanying his sister Constance [aged 30] to her wedding. His son Raymond [aged 11] succeeded IV Count Provence.
In 1260 Beatrix of Sicily Marchioness Saluzzo was born to Manfred King Sicily [aged 28] and Helena Angelina Doukaina at Palermo [Map]. She married 1286 Manfred IV of Saluzzo, son of Thomas I Marquess Saluzzo.
Before 9th May 1271 King Edward I of England [aged 31] and Eleanor of Castile Queen Consort England [aged 30] sailed from Palermo [Map] and travelled to Acre [Map] arriving on 9th May 1271. They were later joined by Edmund "Crouchback" Plantagenet 1st Earl of Leicester 1st Earl Lancaster [aged 26], John "The Red" Capet I Duke Brittany [aged 53] and Teobaldo Visconti Archdeacon of Liège [aged 41] (who would become Pope a month later).

On 29th September 1812 Archibald William Montgomerie 13th Earl Eglinton was born to Major-General Archibald Montgomerie [aged 39] and Mary Montgomerie Lady Lamb [aged 25] at Palermo [Map]. He married 17th February 1841 Theresa Howe Newcomen, daughter of Thomas Gleadowe-Newcomen 2nd Viscount Newcomen and Harriet Holland, and had issue.
On 3rd June 1821 Jacopo Fitz James Stuart 15th Duke Alba 13th Duke Veragua 8th Duke Berwick was born to Carlos Miguel Fitz James Stuart 12th Duke Veragua 7th Duke Berwick 14th Duke Alba [aged 27] and Rosalía Ventimiglia Duchess Veragua Duchess Berwick Duchess Alba [aged 23] at Palermo [Map]. He married 14th February 1838 María Francisca "Paca" Palafox Duchess of Veragua, Berwick and Alba.
On 25th September 2021 Prince Jaime Duke of Noto and Charlotte Lindesay-Bethune [aged 28] were married at Monreale Cathedral, Palermo.
On 04 or 5th December 1270 Theobald "Young" II King Navarre [aged 30] died at Trapani returning from the Eighth Crusade. His brother Henry [aged 26] succeeded I King Navarre, III Count Champagne. Blanche Capet Queen Navarre [aged 22] by marriage Queen Navarre, Countess Champagne.
