On 30 Aug 1926 Antony Head 1st Viscount Head (age 19) was commissioned a second lieutenant in the 15th/19th The King's Royal Hussars. he later joined the Lifeguards. serving through the Second World War and achieving the rank of brigadier.

On 03 Feb 1927 [his future brother-in-law] Major Anthony Ashley-Cooper (age 26) and Sylvia Hawkes (age 22) were married. He the son of Anthony Ashley-Cooper 9th Earl of Shaftesbury (age 57) and Constance Grosvenor Countess of Shaftesbury (age 51).

On 27 Nov 1928 Napier Sturt 3rd Baron Alington (age 32) and [his future sister-in-law] Mary Sibell Ashley-Cooper Baroness Alington (age 26) were married. She by marriage Baroness Alington. She the daughter of Anthony Ashley-Cooper 9th Earl of Shaftesbury (age 59) and Constance Grosvenor Countess of Shaftesbury (age 53). They were fourth cousins.

On 23 Jul 1935 Antony Head 1st Viscount Head (age 28) and Dorothea Louise Ashley-Cooper Viscountess Head (age 28) were married. She the daughter of Anthony Ashley-Cooper 9th Earl of Shaftesbury (age 65) and Constance Grosvenor Countess of Shaftesbury (age 59).

On 02 Aug 1936 [his sister-in-law] Mary Sibell Ashley-Cooper Baroness Alington (age 33) died.

In 1937 [his son] Richard Antony Head 2nd Viscount Head was born to Antony Head 1st Viscount Head (age 30) and [his wife] Dorothea Louise Ashley-Cooper Viscountess Head (age 29).

On 31 Mar 1937 [his brother-in-law] Major Anthony Ashley-Cooper (age 36) and Françoise Soulier were married. He the son of Anthony Ashley-Cooper 9th Earl of Shaftesbury (age 67) and Constance Grosvenor Countess of Shaftesbury (age 61).
