On 29 Jun 1786 Arthur Hill 2nd Marquess Downshire (age 33) and Mary Sandys Marchioness Downshire (age 22) were married. He the son of Wills Hill 1st Marquess Downshire (age 68) and Margaretta Fitzgerald.

On 08 Oct 1788 [her son] Arthur Blundell Sandys Trumbull Hill 3rd Marquess Downshire was born to [her husband] Arthur Hill 2nd Marquess Downshire (age 35) and Mary Sandys Marchioness Downshire (age 24) at Hanover Square.

On 07 Oct 1793 [her father-in-law] Wills Hill 1st Marquess Downshire (age 75) died. His son [her husband] Arthur Hill 2nd Marquess Downshire (age 40) succeeded 2nd Marquess Downshire. Mary Sandys Marchioness Downshire (age 29) by marriage Marchioness Downshire.

On 11 Mar 1797 [her uncle] Edwin Sandys 2nd Baron Sandys (age 70) died without issue. Baron Sandys of Ombersley in Worcestershire extinct. His estates passed to his niece Mary Sandys Marchioness Downshire (age 33).

On 28 Jan 1798 [her son] Arthur Marcus Cecil Sandys 3rd Baron of Ombersley was born to [her husband] Arthur Hill 2nd Marquess Downshire (age 44) and Mary Sandys Marchioness Downshire (age 33).

On 07 Sep 1801 [her husband] Arthur Hill 2nd Marquess Downshire (age 48) committed suicide suspected to be as a consequence of his political life. His son [her son] Arthur Blundell Sandys Trumbull Hill 3rd Marquess Downshire (age 12) succeeded 3rd Marquess Downshire.

On 01 Aug 1836 Mary Sandys Marchioness Downshire (age 72) died.
