On 04 Aug 1900 Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon Queen Consort England was born to Claude Bowes-Lyon 14th Earl Strathmore and Kinghorne (age 45) and Cecilia Nina Cavendish-Bentinck Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne (age 37).

On 23 Sep 1900 Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon Queen Consort England was christened at All Saints Church, Hitchin. Her godmothers included [her aunt] Maud Bowes-Lyon (age 30) and Mary Venetia Cavendish-Bentinck (age 39).

On 16 Feb 1904 [her grandfather] Claude Bowes-Lyon 13th Earl Strathmore and Kinghorne (age 79) died at Bordighera, Imperia. In 1912 George Holford (age 51) and Susannah West Wilson (age 47) were married at the Chapel Royal, St James's Palace. [her future husband] King George VI of the United Kingdom (age 16), Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon Queen Consort England (age 11), Alexandra Glücksburg Queen Consort England (age 67) and Princess Victoria Windsor (age 43) were present. The Times reported ... "The aisle was lined by non-commissioned officers of the bridegroom's old regiment the 1st Life Guards. The bride who was given away by her two sons, wore a gown of old Point d'Alencon lace with a train of gold brocade veiled in chiffon. Instead of a hat she wore a headdress of gold lace and pink roses and she carried a bouquet of orchids ... The King (age 16) and Queen (age 11) gave Sir George Holford a pair of sleeve links bearing the Royal monogram in diamonds and rubies."

Marion Stein Countess Harewood: On 18 Oct 1926 she was born at Vienna. On 06 Mar 2014 she died.

On 16 Sep 1950 Prince George Valdemar Carl Axel of Denmark (age 30) and Anne Ferelith Bowes-Lyon (age 32) were married at Glamis Castle. As a consequence of the marriage being between a divorced person whose spouse was still living the Church of England opposed the marriage and ordered the withdrawal of the Scottish Episcopal clergyman. The Queen (age 50) stated that she would join the wedding party only for the reception and would remain in an adjoining drawing room while the ceremony took place. Death of George VI Accession of Elizabeth II

On 06 Feb 1952 [her husband] King George VI of the United Kingdom (age 56) died at Sandringham Estate, Norfolk. He was buried at King George VI Memorial Chapel, St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle [Map]. His daughter [her daughter] Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom (age 25) succeeded II Queen of the United Kingdom; she was at her Kenyan home Sagana Lodge.

On 21 Apr 1956 Colin Tennant 3rd Baron Glenconner (age 29) and Anne Veronica Coke Baroness Glenconner (age 23) were married at St Withburga's Church, Holkham [Map]. Bishop Percy Herbert (age 70) presided. The guests included Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon Queen Consort England (age 55) and [her daughter] Princess Margaret (age 25). Colin Tennant 3rd Baron Glenconner (age 33) and Anne Veronica Coke Baroness Glenconner (age 27), whose wedding the couple had attended four years before, offered them a piece of land on their privately owned island, Mustique, and agreed to build a house for the couple on the land. It was designed in 1971 by uncle to Lord Snowdon, Oliver Messel, and named "Les Jolies Eaux" aka "The Pretty Waters"
