Pepy's Diary. 09 Aug 1663. So from thence walked back to Mrs. Russell's, and there drank and sat talking a great while. Among other things talked of young Dawes (age 19) that married the great fortune, who it seems has a Baronet's patent given him, and is now Sir Thos. Dawes1, and a very fine bred man they say he is.

Note 1. Not clear why Pepy's refers to him as Thomas when he was John Dawes 1st Baronet (age 19).

In 1671 John Dawes 1st Baronet (age 27) died. His son Robert Dawes 2nd Baronet (age 1) succeeded 2nd Baronet Dawes of Putney.

In 1690 Robert Dawes 2nd Baronet (age 20) died. His brother Archbishop William Dawes 3rd Baronet (age 18) succeeded 3rd Baronet Dawes of Putney.

On 30 Apr 1718 Archbishop William Dawes 3rd Baronet (age 46) died. His son Darcy Dawes 4th Baronet (age 25) succeeded 4th Baronet Dawes of Putney.

In 1732 Darcy Dawes 4th Baronet (age 38) died. His son William Dawes 5th Baronet (age 3) succeeded 5th Baronet Dawes of Putney.

In 1741 William Dawes 5th Baronet (age 12) died. Baronet Dawes of Putney extinct.
