On 08 Oct 1857 [his son] William Eden 4th Baron Auckland (age 28) and [his daughter-in-law] Lucy Walbanke-Childers Baroness Auckland (age 21) were married. He the son of Bishop Robert Eden 3rd Baron Auckland (age 58).

In 1861 [his son-in-law] Edmund Henry Dickinson (age 40) and [his daughter] Emily Dulcibella Eden (age 29) were married. She the daughter of Bishop Robert Eden 3rd Baron Auckland (age 61).

On 06 Sep 1869 Bishop Robert Eden 3rd Baron Auckland (age 70) resigned his position as Bishop of Bath and Wells.

On 25 Apr 1870 Bishop Robert Eden 3rd Baron Auckland (age 70) died at the Bishop's Palace, Wells. His son [his son] William Eden 4th Baron Auckland (age 41) succeeded 4th Baron Auckland of West Auckland. [his daughter-in-law] Lucy Walbanke-Childers Baroness Auckland (age 34) by marriage Baroness Auckland of West Auckland albeit for seventeen days only since she died on 12 May 1870.

On 29 Apr 1870 Bishop Robert Eden 3rd Baron Auckland (deceased) was buried in the Palm Churchyard, Wells Cathedral.
