On 01 Oct 1792 Charles Abney-Hastings 2nd Baronet was born to Charles Hastings 1st Baronet (age 40) and Parnel Abney.

Before Sep 1823 [his father] Charles Hastings 1st Baronet (age 71) and [his mother] Parnel Abney were married. He the illegitmate son of Francis Hastings 10th Earl Huntingdon.

In Sep 1823 [his father] Charles Hastings 1st Baronet (age 71) committed suicide. His son Charles Abney-Hastings 2nd Baronet (age 30) succeeded 2nd Baronet Hastings of Willesley Hall in Derbyshire.

On 01 Dec 1823 Charles Abney-Hastings 2nd Baronet (age 31) adopted the additional surname Abney by Royal Licence.

In 1825 Charles Abney-Hastings 2nd Baronet (age 32) was appointed High Sheriff of Derbyshire.

In 1826 Charles Abney-Hastings 2nd Baronet (age 33) was elected MP Leicester which seat he held until 1831.

On 30 Jul 1858 Charles Abney-Hastings 2nd Baronet (age 65) died. Baronet Hastings of Willesley Hall in Derbyshire extinct. His estates of Blackfordby and Packington were inherited by Henry 4th Marquess Hastings (age 16). Willesley Hall and its estate were left to Edith Maud Rawdon-Hastings 10th Countess Loudon (age 24) and her husband Charles Frederick Abney-Hastings 1st Baron Donington (age 36) who changed his surname to Abney-Hastings.
