On 24 May 1773 Philip Stanhope 4th Earl Chesterfield (age 78) died at Chesterfield House. His third cousin once removed [his father] Philip Stanhope 5th Earl Chesterfield (age 17) succeeded 5th Earl Chesterfield, 5th Baron Stanhope of Shelford in Nottinghamshire.

On 20 Aug 1777 [his father] Philip Stanhope 5th Earl Chesterfield (age 21) and Anne Thistlewayte 5th Countess Chesterfield were married. She by marriage Countess Chesterfield.

On 02 May 1799 [his father] Philip Stanhope 5th Earl Chesterfield (age 43) and [his mother] Henrietta Thynne (age 36) were married at Grosvenor Street. She the daughter of Thomas Thynne 1st Marquess of Bath and Elizabeth Bentinck Marchioness Bath (age 63).

On 23 May 1805 George Stanhope 6th Earl Chesterfield was born to Philip Stanhope 5th Earl Chesterfield (age 49) and Henrietta Thynne (age 42).

On 31 May 1813 [his mother] Henrietta Thynne (age 50) died.

On 29 Aug 1815 [his father] Philip Stanhope 5th Earl Chesterfield (age 59) died at Chesterfield House. His son George Stanhope 6th Earl Chesterfield (age 10) succeeded 6th Earl Chesterfield, 6th Baron Stanhope of Shelford in Nottinghamshire.

In 1822 Robert Carrington 2nd Baron Carrington (age 25) and [his future sister-in-law] Elizabeth Katherine Weld-Forester Baroness Carrington (age 19) were married.

On 23 May 1828 Cecil Weld-Forester 1st Baron Forester (age 61) died of gout at Belgrave Square Belgravia. His son [his future brother-in-law] John Weld-Forester 2nd Baron Forester (age 26) succeeded 2nd Baron Forester of Willey Park in Shropshire.

In 1830 George Stanhope 6th Earl Chesterfield (age 24) and Anne Weld-Forester Countess Chesterfield (age 27) were married. She by marriage Countess Chesterfield. He the son of Philip Stanhope 5th Earl Chesterfield and Henrietta Thynne. They were fourth cousins.

In 1830 General George Anson (age 33) and [his sister-in-law] Isabella Elizabeth Annabella Weld-Forester were married.

On 28 Sep 1831 [his son] George Philip Cecil Arthur Stanhope 7th Earl Chesterfield was born to George Stanhope 6th Earl Chesterfield (age 26) and [his wife] Anne Weld-Forester Countess Chesterfield (age 29).

In 1832 [his sister-in-law] Elizabeth Katherine Weld-Forester Baroness Carrington (age 29) died.

On 06 Jul 1833 Albert Denison 1st Baron Londesborough (age 27) and [his sister-in-law] Henrietta Maria Weld-Forester Baroness Londesborough were married. He the son of Henry Conyngham 1st Marquess Conyngham and Elizabeth Denison Marchioness Conyngham (age 64).

On 03 Nov 1834 [his daughter] Evelyn Stanhope Countess Carnarvon was born to George Stanhope 6th Earl Chesterfield (age 29) and [his wife] Anne Weld-Forester Countess Chesterfield (age 32) at Chesterfield House.

On 22 Apr 1841 [his sister-in-law] Henrietta Maria Weld-Forester Baroness Londesborough died.

Adeline Horsey Recollections. In the autumn of 1844 we went to Bretby [Map], the seat of the Earl of Chesterfield (age 38), where we spent a most enjoyable time. There was a large house-party, among many others the Duke (age 44) and Duchess (age 26) of Montrose, Mr. (age 37) and Lady Sophia des Voeux, Lord Alvanley (age 54), and the Count de Nieukerke, who was the recognised lover of Princess Mathilde Bonaparte (age 23). M. de Nieukerke was a very charming man, and he was much struck by my singing, and used to compare me with George Sand's heroine - Consuelo - for I was a very pretty girl with a slight, but fine figure, and long hair that fell in curls below my knees.

Adeline Horsey Recollections. On my second visit to Bretby [Map] I remember we acted De Musset's play, Le Caprice. [his wife] Lady Chesterfield's (age 41) daughter, [his daughter] Evelyn Stanhope (age 9), afterwards Countess of Carnarvon, and Miss Anson (age 12), afterwards Countess Howe, took the girls' parts, and I was the hero. Lady Dufferin (age 37) coached me and, what was very important, taught me to sit down like a man ! My costume was an olla podrida of other people's garments, for I wore Lady Chesterfield's (age 41) riding-trousers, Lord Cleveden's coat and waistcoat, one of Lord Chesterfield's (age 38) shirts, and a curly wig put the finishing-touch to the character. Le Caprice was a great success, and we were highly pleased with ourselves.

On 11 Jun 1848 [his brother-in-law] Charles Weld-Forester (age 36) and Maria Jocelyn were married. She the daughter of Robert Jocelyn 3rd Earl Roden (age 59) and Maria Frances Catherine Stapleton Countess Roden.

On 16 Sep 1852 [his brother-in-law] Charles Weld-Forester (age 40) died.

On 10 Jun 1856 [his brother-in-law] John Weld-Forester 2nd Baron Forester (age 54) and Alexandrina Julia Gräfin von Maltzan were married at St John the Evangelist, Paddington.

In Dec 1858 [his sister-in-law] Isabella Elizabeth Annabella Weld-Forester died.

In 1861 [his son-in-law] Henry Howard Molyneux Herbert 4th Earl Carnarvon (age 29) and [his daughter] Evelyn Stanhope Countess Carnarvon (age 26) were married at Westminster Abbey [Map]. She by marriage Countess Carnarvon. She the daughter of George Stanhope 6th Earl Chesterfield (age 55) and Anne Weld-Forester Countess Chesterfield (age 58). He the son of Henry John George Herbert 3rd Earl Carnarvon and Henrietta Anna Howard-Molyneux-Howard Countess Carnarvon (age 56).

On 01 Jun 1866 George Stanhope 6th Earl Chesterfield (age 61) died. His son [his son] George Philip Cecil Arthur Stanhope 7th Earl Chesterfield (age 34) succeeded 7th Earl Chesterfield, 7th Baron Stanhope of Shelford in Nottinghamshire.

On 27 Jul 1885 [his former wife] Anne Weld-Forester Countess Chesterfield (age 82) died.
