On 17 May 1775 John Beckett 2nd Baronet was born to John Beckett 1st Baronet (age 32) and Mary Wilson Lady Beckett (age 26).
In 1813 [his father] John Beckett 1st Baronet (age 70) was created 1st Baronet Beckett of Leeds. [his mother] Mary Wilson Lady Beckett (age 64) by marriage Lady Beckett of Leeds.
In 1817 John Beckett 2nd Baronet (age 41) and Anne Lowther were married. She the daughter of William Lowther 1st Earl Lonsdale (age 59) and Augusta Fane Countess Lonsdale (age 55).
On 19 May 1817 [his brother-in-law] Henry Cecil Lowther (age 26) and Lucy Eleanor Sherard (age 25) were married. She the daughter of Philip Sherard 5th Earl Harborough. He the son of William Lowther 1st Earl Lonsdale (age 59) and Augusta Fane Countess Lonsdale (age 55).
In 1818 John Beckett 2nd Baronet (age 42) was elected MP Cockermouth which seat he held until 1821.
On 16 Sep 1820 Frederick Cavendish-Bentinck (age 38) and [his sister-in-law] Mary Lowther (age 35) were married. She the daughter of William Lowther 1st Earl Lonsdale (age 62) and Augusta Fane Countess Lonsdale (age 58). He the son of William Cavendish-Bentinck 3rd Duke Portland and Dorothy Cavendish 3rd Duchess Portland.
In 1823 [his mother] Mary Wilson Lady Beckett (age 74) died.
In 1826 John Beckett 2nd Baronet (age 50) was elected MP Haslemere which seat he held until 1832.
In 1826 [his father] John Beckett 1st Baronet (age 83) died. His son John Beckett 2nd Baronet (age 50) succeeded 2nd Baronet Beckett of Leeds. [his wife] Anne Lowther by marriage Lady Beckett of Leeds.
In 1835 John Beckett 2nd Baronet (age 59) was elected MP Leeds which seat he held until 1837.
On 31 May 1847 John Beckett 2nd Baronet (age 72) died at Brighton. He was buried at All Saints Church, Fulham. His brother [his brother] Thomas Beckett 3rd Baronet (age 68) succeeded 3rd Baronet Beckett of Leeds.
On 08 Nov 1863 [his former wife] Anne Lowther died.
