Biography of Nicholas Morice 2nd Baronet 1681-1726

In or before 1660 [his father] William Morice 1st Baronet (age 32) and Gertrude Bampfylde Lady Morice were married.

                    On 20 Apr 1661 King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland (age 30) created a number of new Baronets and Peers:                

                    [his father] William Morice 1st Baronet (age 33) was created 1st Baronet Morice of Werrington in Devon. Gertrude Bampfylde Lady Morice by marriage Lady Morice of Werrington in Devon.
                
                    John Crew 1st Baron Crew (age 63) was created 1st Baron Crew of Stene in Northamptonshire. Jemima Waldegrave Baroness Crew (age 59) by marriage Baroness Crew of Stene in Northamptonshire.                

                    Edward Hyde 1st Earl Clarendon (age 52) was created 1st Earl Clarendon at Westminster Abbey [Map] on the occasion of the Coronation Charles II. Frances Aylesbury Countess Clarendon (age 43) by marriage Countess Clarendon.                

                    Oliver Fitzwilliam 1st Earl Tyrconnel (age 51) was created 1st Earl Tyrconnel. Eleanore Holles Countess Tyrconnel by marriage Countess Tyrconnel.

In 1676 [his father] William Morice 1st Baronet (age 48) and [his mother] Elizabeth Reynell Lady Morice were married. She by marriage Lady Morice of Werrington in Devon.

In 1681 Nicholas Morice 2nd Baronet was born to William Morice 1st Baronet (age 53) and Elizabeth Reynell Lady Morice.

On or before 03 Apr 1684 [his mother] Elizabeth Reynell Lady Morice died. She was buried on 03 Apr 1684 at Werrington, Devon.

On or before 07 Feb 1690 [his father] William Morice 1st Baronet (age 62) died. He was buried at Werrington, Devon on 07 Feb 1690. His son Nicholas Morice 2nd Baronet (age 9) succeeded 2nd Baronet Morice of Werrington in Devon.

On 14 Apr 1698 Nicholas Morice 2nd Baronet (age 17) matriculated Exeter College, Oxford University.

In 1702 Nicholas Morice 2nd Baronet (age 21) was elected MP Newport, and re-elected in 1705, 1708, 1710, 1713, 1715 and 1722.

On or after 21 Mar 1704, the date of the licence, Nicholas Morice 2nd Baronet (age 23) and Catherine Herbert Lady Morice were married at St James' Church, Piccadilly. She by marriage Lady Morice of Werrington in Devon. They has one sons and two daughters. She the daughter of Thomas Herbert 8th Earl Pembroke 5th Earl Montgomery (age 48) and Margaret Sawyer Countess Pembroke and Montgomery.

Around 1707 [his son] William Morice 3rd Baronet was born to Nicholas Morice 2nd Baronet (age 26) and [his wife] Catherine Herbert Lady Morice.

On or before 18 Sep 1716 [his wife] Catherine Herbert Lady Morice died. She was buried at Werrington, Devon on 18 Sep 1716.

On 03 Oct 1725 [his son-in-law] John St Aubyn 3rd Baronet (age 29) and [his daughter] Catherine Morice Lady St Aubyn were married at St James' Church, Piccadilly. She brough £10,000 cash to the marriage, and the manor of Stoke-Damerel, including Devonport.

On 27 Jan 1726 Nicholas Morice 2nd Baronet (age 45) died. He was buried at Werrington, Devon on 07 Feb 1726 . His son [his son] William Morice 3rd Baronet (age 19) succeeded 3rd Baronet Morice of Werrington in Devon.

[his daughter] Catherine Morice Lady St Aubyn was born to Nicholas Morice 2nd Baronet and Catherine Herbert Lady Morice.

[his daughter] Barbara Morice Lady Molesworth was born to Nicholas Morice 2nd Baronet and Catherine Herbert Lady Morice.

William Herbert and Catherine Elizabeth Tewes were married. He the son of Thomas Herbert 8th Earl Pembroke 5th Earl Montgomery and Margaret Sawyer Countess Pembroke and Montgomery.
