Around 1663 [his grandfather] William Masham 2nd Baronet died. His son [his father] Francis Masham 3rd Baronet (age 17) succeeded 3rd Baronet Masham of Long Ashton.

In or before 1679 [his father] Francis Masham 3rd Baronet (age 33) and [his mother] Mary Scott Lady Masham (age 29) were married. She by marriage Lady Masham of Long Ashton.

In 1679 Samuel Masham 1st Baron Masham was born to Francis Masham 3rd Baronet (age 33) and Mary Scott Lady Masham (age 30) at Otes House, High Laver.

In 1685 [his father] Francis Masham 3rd Baronet (age 39) and [his step-mother] Damaris Cudworth Lady Masham (age 25) were married. She by marriage Lady Masham of Long Ashton.

Around 1685 [his mother] Mary Scott Lady Masham (age 36) died.
