In 1732 William Clayton 1st Baronet was created 1st Baronet Clayton of Marden Park in Surrey.
On 19 Aug 1742 [his son-in-law] John Thomas (age 30) and [his daughter] Anne Clayton Lady Blackwell were married at the Chapel Royal, Whitehall Palace. There was no issue. She the sister of his former pupil William Clayton 1st Baronet.
On 28 Dec 1744 William Clayton 1st Baronet died. His son [his son] Kenrick Clayton 2nd Baronet (age 31) succeeded 2nd Baronet Clayton of Marden Park in Surrey.
