On 19 Jan 1685 [his uncle] Simon Digby 4th Baron Digby (age 28) died. He was buried at the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Coleshill [Map]. His brother [his father] William Digby 5th Baron Digby (age 23) succeeded 5th Baron Digby of Geashill in County Offaly.

In 1686 [his father] William Digby 5th Baron Digby (age 24) and [his mother] Jane Noel Baroness Digby were married. She by marriage Baroness Digby of Geashill in County Offaly. She the daughter of Edward Noel 1st Earl Gainsborough (age 45) and Elizabeth Wriothesley Countess Gainsborough (age 40).

Before 10 May 1697 Wriothesley Digby was born to William Digby 5th Baron Digby (age 36) and Jane Noel Baroness Digby.
