River Mersey is in Irish Sea.

The River Mersey is formed from the River Goyt and River Tame which converge at Stockport [Map] from where it flows through Carrington, Lancashire [Map], Warrington [Map], Widnes, Lancashire [Map] and Runcorn [Map] to Liverpool, Lancashire [Map] after which it joins the Irish Sea.

The River Bollin rises at at Macclesfield Forest [Map] from where it flows through Macclesfield [Map], Prestbury [Map] and Mottram Hall, Cheshire [Map], after which it is joined by the River Dean, under Manchester Airport [Map] to Hale, Cheshire [Map] then Dunham Massey [Map] after which it joins the River Mersey.

River Dean

The River Dean rises near Rainow, Cheshire [Map] from where it flows north-east through Bollington, Cheshire [Map], past Adlington Hall, Cheshire [Map], through Handforth [Map] to north of Wilmslow where it joins the River Bollin.

The River Goyt rises from the Errwood [Map] and Fernilee [Map] reservoirs from which it flows through Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire [Map], Furness Vale, Derbyshire [Map], New Mills [Map], Marple [Map] before joining the River Tame at Stockport [Map] to form the River Mersey.

River Sett

The River Sett rises near South Head Farm, Kinder [Map] from where it flows through Hayfield, Derbyshire [Map], Birch Vale [Map] to New Mills [Map] where it joins the River Goyt.

River Kinder

The River Kinder rises on Kinder Scout from where it flows over Kinder Downfall [Map], through Kinder Reservoir [Map] to Bowden Bridge, Kinder [Map] immediately after which it joins the River Sett.
