Biography of Richard Corbet 4th Baronet 1696-1774

On 01 Aug 1683 [his grandfather] Richard Corbet 2nd Baronet (age 43) died. His son [his father] Uvedale Corbet 3rd Baronet (age 15) succeeded 3rd Baronet Corbet of Leighton in Montgomeryshire.

On 14 Aug 1693 [his father] Uvedale Corbet 3rd Baronet (age 25) and [his mother] Mildred Cecil Baroness Hotham were married. She the daughter of James Cecil 3rd Earl Salisbury and Margaret Manners Countess of Salisbury.

In 1696 Richard Corbet 4th Baronet was born to Uvedale Corbet 3rd Baronet (age 28) and Mildred Cecil Baroness Hotham.

After 1701 [his step-father] Charles Hotham 4th Baronet (age 38) and [his mother] Mildred Cecil Baroness Hotham were married. She by marriage Lady Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire. She the daughter of James Cecil 3rd Earl Salisbury and Margaret Manners Countess of Salisbury.

On 15 Oct 1701 [his father] Uvedale Corbet 3rd Baronet (age 33) died. His son Richard Corbet 4th Baronet (age 5) succeeded 4th Baronet Corbet of Leighton in Montgomeryshire.

On 30 Jun 1713 Richard Corbet 4th Baronet (age 17) matriculated New College, Oxford University.

On 09 Apr 1723 Richard Corbet 4th Baronet (age 27) was elected MP Shrewsbury.

In 1727 [his mother] Mildred Cecil Baroness Hotham died.

In 1741 Richard Corbet 4th Baronet (age 45) was elected MP Shrewsbury unopposed.
