On 13 Jan 1881 [his father] Walter Grindlay Simpson 2nd Baronet (age 37) and [his mother] Ann Fitzgerald Mackay Lady Simpson (age 24) were married at Banchory-Devenick.
On 08 Feb 1885 Second Lieutenant Oda Louis David Mackay Simpson was born to Walter Grindlay Simpson 2nd Baronet (age 41) and Ann Fitzgerald Mackay Lady Simpson (age 28). He was educated at Eton College [Map].
On 29 May 1898 [his father] Walter Grindlay Simpson 2nd Baronet (age 54) died at Balabraes Ayton. His son [his brother] James Walter Mackay Simpson 3rd Baronet (age 15) succeeded 2nd Baronet Simpson of Strathavon and the City of Edinburgh.
In Sep 1914 Second Lieutenant Oda Louis David Mackay Simpson (age 29) enlisted in the 32nd Battalion Canadian Infantry sailing to England in Feb 1915.
On 01 Sep 1915 Second Lieutenant Oda Louis David Mackay Simpson (age 30) transferred to the the 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters travelling to France on 29 May 1915.
