On 12 Jan 1573 William Howard 1st Baron Howard (age 63) died at Hampton Court Palace, Richmond. He was buried at Reigate, Surrey. His son Charles Howard 1st Earl Nottingham (age 37) succeeded 2nd Baron Howard of Effingham. Katherine Carey Countess Nottingham (age 23) by marriage Baroness Howard of Effingham. On 22 Oct 1597 Charles Howard 1st Earl Nottingham (age 61) was created 1st Earl Nottingham. Katherine Carey Countess Nottingham (age 47) by marriage Countess Nottingham. On 25 Feb 1603 Katherine Carey Countess Nottingham (age 53) died at Arundel House. She was buried in Chelsea Old Church on 25 Apr 1603.

In or before 1624 Thomas Penyston 1st Baronet (age 33) and Elizabeth Watson Lady Penyston (age 23) were married. She by marriage Lady Penyston of Leigh in Iden in Sussex. In 1624 Elizabeth Watson Lady Penyston (age 24) died.

In 1611 Robert "The Elder" Peake (age 60) and Paul Isackson painted the cabins, carvings, and armorials on the ship the Prince Royal.

On 10 Jul 1613 Robert "The Elder" Peake (age 62) was paid £13.6s.8d. by the vice-chancellor of the University of Cambridge, "in full satisfaction for Prince Charles (age 12) his picture", for a full-length portrait which is still in the Cambridge University Library.

Around 1580 Anne Vavasour (age 20) became the mistress of Edward de Vere 17th Earl of Oxford (age 29). The affair led to open skirmishes and duels in the streets of London, between Oxford and Anne's uncle, Thomas Knyvet 1st Baron Knyvet (age 35), and his men, which on one occasion led to the wounding of both men, and the death of one of Oxford's men. In 1580 Anne Vavasour (age 20) was appointed Lady of the Bedchamber to Queen Elizabeth (age 46). Before 1590 Anne Vavasour (age 30) became the mistress of Henry Lee of Ditchley (age 56). In Sep 1592 Henry Lee of Ditchley (age 59) and Anne Vavasour (age 32) were visisted by Queen Elizabeth I of England and Ireland (age 58) at their home in Ditchley Park, Oxfordshire. Around 1650 Anne Vavasour (age 90) died.
