Richard Hoghton 3rd Baronet 1616-1678

Around 1616 Richard Hoghton 3rd Baronet was born to Gilbert Hoghton 2nd Baronet [aged 25].

In 1630 [his grandfather] Richard Hoghton 1st Baronet [aged 59] died. His son [his father] Gilbert [aged 39] succeeded 2nd Baronet Hoghton of Hoghton Tower in Lancashire.

In or before 1644 Richard Hoghton 3rd Baronet [aged 27] and Sarah Stanhope Lady Hoghton were married. She the daughter of Philip Stanhope 1st Earl Chesterfield [aged 59] and Catherine Hastings Countess Chesterfield.

Around 1644 [his son] Charles Hoghton 4th Baronet was born to Richard Hoghton 3rd Baronet [aged 28] and [his wife] Sarah Stanhope Lady Hoghton. He married in or before 1678 Mary Skeffington Lady Hoghton, daughter of John Skeffington 2nd Viscount Massereene and Mary Clotworthy, and had issue.

In 1645 Richard Hoghton 3rd Baronet [aged 29] was elected MP Lancashire.

In April 1648 [his father] Gilbert Hoghton 2nd Baronet [aged 57] died. His son Richard [aged 32] succeeded 3rd Baronet Hoghton of Hoghton Tower in Lancashire. [his wife] Sarah Stanhope Lady Hoghton by marriage Lady Hoghton of Hoghton Tower in Lancashire.

In 1656 Richard Hoghton 3rd Baronet [aged 40] was elected MP Lancashire.

In 1659 Richard Hoghton 3rd Baronet [aged 43] was appointed High Sheriff of Lancashire.

In or before 1678 [his son] Charles Hoghton 4th Baronet [aged 33] and [his daughter-in-law] Mary Skeffington Lady Hoghton were married. She by marriage Lady Hoghton of Hoghton Tower in Lancashire.

On 3rd February 1678 Richard Hoghton 3rd Baronet [aged 62] died. His son Charles [aged 34] succeeded 4th Baronet Hoghton of Hoghton Tower in Lancashire.

In May 1698 [his former wife] Sarah Stanhope Lady Hoghton died.
