William Courtenay 5th Earl Devon 1628-1702

On 7th November 1606 [his father] Francis Courtenay 4th Earl Devon [aged 30] and [his mother] Mary Pole [aged 20] were married. He the son of [his grandfather] William Courtenay 3rd Earl Devon [aged 53] and [his grandmother] Elizabeth Manners.

Before 1628 [his father] Francis Courtenay 4th Earl Devon [aged 51] and [his step-mother] Elizabeth Seymour Countess Devon [aged 20] were married. The difference in their ages was 31 years. He the son of [his grandfather] William Courtenay 3rd Earl Devon [aged 74] and [his grandmother] Elizabeth Manners.

Before 1628 [his mother] Mary Pole [aged 41] died.

On 7th September 1628 William Courtenay 5th Earl Devon was born to Francis Courtenay 4th Earl Devon [aged 52] and Mary Pole.

In 1664 William Courtenay 5th Earl Devon [aged 35] was appointed High Sheriff of Devon.
