On 20th September 1398 [his father] Thomas Boteler 4th Baron Sudeley [aged 39] died at Bewsey, Lancashire. His son [his brother] John [aged 13] succeeded 5th Baron Sudeley.
In 1417 John Boteler 5th Baron Sudeley [aged 32] died. His brother Ralph [aged 28] succeeded 6th Baron Sudeley.
Around 1418 Ralph Boteler 6th and 1st Baron Sudeley [aged 29] and Elizabeth Norbury Baroness Sudeley [aged 25] were married. She by marriage Baroness Sudeley.
On 5th September 1422 William Deincourt 6th Baron Deincourt 6th Baron Grey [aged 19] died. Baron Deincourt and Baron Grey of Rotherfield abeyant between his two sisters [his future wife] Alice Deincourt 6th Baroness Deincourt and Grey, Baroness Lovel and Sudeley [aged 18] and [his future sister-in-law] Margaret Deincourt Baroness Cromwell [aged 16].
In or before 1427 William Lovell 7th Baron Lovel 4th Baron Holand [aged 29] and [his future wife] Alice Deincourt 6th Baroness Deincourt and Grey, Baroness Lovel and Sudeley [aged 22] were married. She by marriage Baroness Lovel of Titchmarsh. They were fifth cousins.
Around 1440 Ralph Boteler 6th and 1st Baron Sudeley [aged 51] was appointed 157th Knight of the Garter by King Henry VI of England and II of France [aged 18].
In 1441 Ralph Boteler 6th and 1st Baron Sudeley [aged 52] was created 1st Baron Sudeley. [his wife] Elizabeth Norbury Baroness Sudeley [aged 48] by marriage Baroness Sudeley.

On 20th February 1447 Humphrey Lancaster 1st Duke Gloucester [aged 56] was arrested on a charge of treason by John Beaumont 1st Viscount Beaumont [aged 37], Humphrey Stafford 1st Duke of Buckingham [aged 44], Edmund Beaufort 1st or 2nd Duke of Somerset [aged 41], Richard Neville Earl Salisbury [aged 47] and Ralph Boteler 6th and 1st Baron Sudeley [aged 58].
In 1449 [his son] Thomas Boteler and [his daughter-in-law] Eleanor Talbot [aged 12] were married. She the daughter of John "Old Talbot" Talbot 1st Earl of Shrewsbury [aged 66] and Margaret Beauchamp Countess Shrewsbury and Waterford [aged 45]. They were half third cousin once removed. She a great x 4 granddaughter of King Edward I of England.
Patent Rolls. 8th August 1457. Westminster. Commission to Jasper, earl of Pembroke [aged 25], James, earl of Wiltshire [aged 36], Ralph de Sudeley [aged 68], knight, John Beauchamp of Powyk [aged 48], knight, and the sheriff of Gloucester, reciting that whereas the king at the suit of Alice Veell, widow, caused writs to be directed to Thomas de la Hay, Thomas Holte, William Tyffyn, Nicholas Kyng, Maurice Kyng and Roger Clyff to appear before the king and council on a certain day to answer touching riots and offences done to her by them, and because Thomas de la Hay received his writ and the others withdrew in order that the writs should not be delivered to them, and they appeared not, the king by other writs caused proclamation to be made in London and the said county that they should appear before the council or chancellor within a month after the last day of proclamation, pursuant to the ordinance made in the Parliament held at Redyng in 31 Henry VI, which writs were duly returned by the sheriffs of London and Gloucestershire, yet they appeared not; and appointing the said commissioners to arrest and bring them before the king in Chancery to answer touching the premises. By the Chancellor.
Before 1460 [his son] Thomas Boteler died predeceasing his father John Sudeley 3rd Baron Sudeley who attempted to recover the property settled on Thomas' widow [his daughter-in-law] Eleanor Talbot [aged 23].
On 28th August 1462 [his wife] Elizabeth Norbury Baroness Sudeley [aged 69] died.
In 1463 Ralph Boteler 6th and 1st Baron Sudeley [aged 74] and Alice Deincourt 6th Baroness Deincourt and Grey, Baroness Lovel and Sudeley [aged 58] were married. She by marriage Baroness Sudeley. They were fifth cousin once removed.
On 28th February 1463 [his step-son] John Lovell 8th Baron Lovel 5th Baron Holand [aged 30] died. His son Francis [aged 7] succeeded 9th Baron Lovel of Titchmarsh, 6th Baron Holand at around eight years of age. He became a ward of King Edward IV of England [aged 20] who gave his wardship to Richard "Kingmaker" Neville Earl Warwick, 6th Earl Salisbury [aged 34] spending his childhood at Middleham Castle [Map] with the young (future) King Richard III of England [aged 10].
After 1466 Thomas Burdett of Arrow in Warwickshire [aged 41] was in the service of John Beauchamp 1st Baron Beauchamp Powick [aged 57], Ralph Boteler 6th and 1st Baron Sudeley [aged 77] and George York 1st Duke of Clarence [aged 16].
On 2nd May 1473 Ralph Boteler 6th and 1st Baron Sudeley [aged 84] died. Baron Sudeley extinct. Baron Sudeley abeyant.
On 10th February 1474 [his former wife] Alice Deincourt 6th Baroness Deincourt and Grey, Baroness Lovel and Sudeley [aged 69] died at Titchmarsh, Northamptonshire. Her grandson Francis [aged 18] succeeded 8th Baron Deincourt, 8th Baron Grey of Rotherfield, and the feudal barony of Bedale.
