In 1711 [his daughter] Elizabeth Fane was born to Charles Fane 1st Viscount Fane [aged 34] and [his wife] Mary Stanhope Viscountess Fane [aged 25].
In 1713 [his daughter] Lucy Fane died.
On 24th February 1713 [his brother-in-law] James Stanhope 1st Earl Stanhope [aged 40] and Lucy Pitt Countess Stanhope [aged 21] were married.

In 1718 [his daughter] Charlotte Fane was born to Charles Fane 1st Viscount Fane [aged 41] and [his wife] Mary Stanhope Viscountess Fane [aged 32].
On 14th April 1718 [his brother-in-law] James Stanhope 1st Earl Stanhope [aged 45] was created 1st Earl Stanhope. Lucy Pitt Countess Stanhope [aged 26] by marriage Countess Stanhope.
On 22nd April 1718 Charles Fane 1st Viscount Fane [aged 42] was created 1st Viscount Fane, 1st Baron Fane of Loughguyre in the County of Limerick. [his wife] Mary Stanhope Viscountess Fane [aged 32] by marriage Viscountess Fane.
On 5th February 1721 [his brother-in-law] James Stanhope 1st Earl Stanhope [aged 48] died. His son Philip [aged 6] succeeded 2nd Earl Stanhope.
On 14th March 1741 [his son-in-law] John Montagu 4th Earl Sandwich [aged 22] and [his daughter] Dorothy Fane Countess Sandwich [aged 23] were married. She by marriage Countess Sandwich.
On 4th July 1744 Charles Fane 1st Viscount Fane [aged 68] died. His son Charles [aged 36] succeeded 2nd Viscount Fane, 2nd Baron Fane of Loughguyre in the County of Limerick.
In 1762 [his former wife] Mary Stanhope Viscountess Fane [aged 76] died.
[his son] James Fane was born to Charles Fane 1st Viscount Fane and Mary Stanhope Viscountess Fane.
Abbot John Whethamstede’s Chronicle of the Abbey of St Albans
Abbot John Whethamstede's Register aka Chronicle of his second term at the Abbey of St Albans, 1451-1461, is a remarkable text that describes his first-hand experience of the beginning of the Wars of the Roses including the First and Second Battles of St Albans, 1455 and 1461, respectively, their cause, and their consequences, not least on the Abbey itself.
