Before 1720 Colin Lindsay 3rd Earl Balcarres [aged 67] and Margaret Campbell Countess Balcarres were married. She by marriage Countess Balcarres. She the daughter of James Campbell 2nd Earl Loudon and Margaret Montgomerie. He the son of Andrew Lindsay 1st Earl Balcarres. They were third cousin once removed.

In 1722 Colin Lindsay 3rd Earl Balcarres [aged 69] died. His son Alexander succeeded 4th Earl Balcarres.

On 25th July 1756 Alexander Lindsay 4th Earl Balcarres died. His brother James [aged 64] succeeded 5th Earl Balcarres. Anne Dalrymple Countess Balcarres [aged 29] by marriage Countess Balcarres.

On 1st June 1780 Alexander Lindsay 6th Earl Balcarres 23rd Earl Crawford [aged 28] and Elizabeth Bradshaigh Dalrymple Countess Balcarres were married. She by marriage Countess Balcarres. They had five children He the son of James Lindsay 5th Earl Balcarres and Anne Dalrymple Countess Balcarres [aged 53]. They were first cousins.

On 27th March 1825 Alexander Lindsay 6th Earl Balcarres 23rd Earl Crawford [aged 73] died. His son James [aged 41] succeeded 7th Earl Balcarres. Maria Pennington Countess Balcarres and Crawford [aged 41] by marriage Countess Balcarres.

On 13th December 1880 Alexander Lindsay 8th Earl Balcarres 25th Earl of Crawford [aged 68] died. His son James [aged 33] succeeded 26th Earl Crawford, 9th Earl Balcarres.

On 25th January 1900 David Lindsay 27th Earl of Crawford 10th Earl Balcarres [aged 28] and Constance Lilian Pelly Countess Crawford and Balcarres were married at St Margaret's Church, Westminster [Map]. She by marriage Countess Crawford and Countess Balcarres. He the son of James Ludovic Lindsay 26th Earl of Crawford 9th Earl of Balcarrie [aged 52].

On 31st January 1913 James Ludovic Lindsay 26th Earl of Crawford 9th Earl of Balcarrie [aged 65] died. His son David [aged 41] succeeded 27th Earl Crawford, 10th Earl Balcarres.

On 8th March 1940 David Lindsay 27th Earl of Crawford 10th Earl Balcarres [aged 68] died. His son David [aged 39] succeeded 28th Earl Crawford, 11th Earl Balcarres. Mary Katherine Cavendish Countess of Crawford and Balcarres by marriage Countess Crawford, Countess Balcarres.

On 13th December 1975 David Lindsay 28th Earl of Crawford 11th Earl Balcarres [aged 75] died. His son Robert [aged 48] succeeded 29th Earl Crawford, 12th Earl Balcarres.
