After 1827 [his mother] Caroline Douglas died.
On 14th April 1827 Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers was born to William Augustus Lane-Fox [aged 31] and Caroline Douglas at Bramham cum Oglethorpe Wetherby.
On 11th February 1832 [his father] William Augustus Lane-Fox [aged 36] died.
On 3rd February 1853 Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 25] and Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 25] were married.
On 2nd November 1855 [his son] Alexander Edward Lane-Fox Pitt-Rivers was born to Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 28] and [his wife] Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 27]. He married 1889 Alice Ruth Hermione Thynne and had issue.
On 14th September 1856 [his son] St George Lane Fox-Pitt was born to Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 29] and [his wife] Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 28]. He married 1899 Edith Douglas.
On 9th January 1858 [his son] William Augustus Lane Fox-Pitt was born to Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 30] and [his wife] Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 30].
In 1859 [his daughter] Ursula Katharine Lane Fox-Pitt was born to Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 31] and [his wife] Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 31].
On 5th November 1860 [his son] Lionel Charles Lane Fox-Pitt was born to Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 33] and [his wife] Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 32].
Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

Around 1862 [his daughter] Alice Lane Fox-Pitt Baroness Avebury was born to Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 34] and [his wife] Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 34]. She married 17th May 1884 John Lubbock 1st Baron Avebury, son of John Lubbock 3rd Baronet and Harriet Hotham, and had issue.
In 1863 [his daughter] Agnes Geraldine Lane Fox-Pitt Lady Grove was born to Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 35] and [his wife] Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 35]. She married 20th July 1882 Walter John Grove 2nd Baronet, son of Thomas Grove 1st Baronet and Katherine Grace O'Grady Lady Grove, and had issue.
In 1864 George Howard 9th Earl Carlisle [aged 20] and [his sister-in-law] Rosalind Frances Stanley Countess Carlisle [aged 18] were married.
On 17th December 1864 [his son] Douglas Henry Lane Fox-Pitt was born to Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 37] and [his wife] Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 36].
On 12th April 1866 [his son] Arthur Algernon Lane Fox-Pitt was born to Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 38] and [his wife] Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 38].
On 20th July 1882 [his son-in-law] Walter John Grove 2nd Baronet [aged 29] and Agnes Geraldine Lane Fox-Pitt Lady Grove [aged 19] were married. She the daughter of Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 55] and Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 54].
On 17th May 1884 [his son-in-law] John Lubbock 1st Baron Avebury [aged 50] and Alice Lane Fox-Pitt Baroness Avebury [aged 22] were married. She by marriage Lady Lubbock of Lammas in Norfolk. The difference in their ages was 27 years. She the daughter of Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 57] and Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 56].

In 1888 Harold St George Gray [aged 15] started working for Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 60].
In 1889 Alexander Edward Lane-Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 33] and Alice Ruth Hermione Thynne were married. He the son of Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 61] and Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 61].
On 29th March 1889 William George Howard 8th Earl Carlisle [aged 81] died unmarried. His nephew George [aged 45] succeeded 9th Earl Carlisle. [his sister-in-law] Rosalind Frances Stanley Countess Carlisle [aged 44] by marriage Countess Carlisle.
William of Worcester's Chronicle of England
William of Worcester, born around 1415, and died around 1482 was secretary to John Fastolf, the renowned soldier of the Hundred Years War, during which time he collected documents, letters, and wrote a record of events. Following their return to England in 1440 William was witness to major events. Twice in his chronicle he uses the first person: 1. when writing about the murder of Thomas, 7th Baron Scales, in 1460, he writes '… and I saw him lying naked in the cemetery near the porch of the church of St. Mary Overie in Southwark …' and 2. describing King Edward IV's entry into London in 1461 he writes '… proclaimed that all the people themselves were to recognize and acknowledge Edward as king. I was present and heard this, and immediately went down with them into the city'. William’s Chronicle is rich in detail. It is the source of much information about the Wars of the Roses, including the term 'Diabolical Marriage' to describe the marriage of Queen Elizabeth Woodville’s brother John’s marriage to Katherine, Dowager Duchess of Norfolk, he aged twenty, she sixty-five or more, and the story about a paper crown being placed in mockery on the severed head of Richard, 3rd Duke of York.

On 4th May 1900 Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers [aged 73] died.
On 19th May 1910 [his former wife] Alice Margaret Stanley [aged 82] died.
